I let water sit over night over night and finish the drink. No water spot stain retain inside, wow! I like the copper straws too. One draw back is where the handle attaches to the body of the cup, I can see the little nut attachment also copper but that attachment gap might retain stain. I wish the handle weld outside the cup not puncture into it. Anyway it is still good just keep an eye out, make sure it is clean. update: after a few days of use, I notice water stains on the inside bottom start to appear. I think it is my fault because one cup I kept dry and no water stains. While the other one I had it wet when not in use so water stain set in. Just a friendly reminder, keep it dry when not in use to avoid water stain. And do not use any harsh chemical like bleach, acid, etc it might break down the copper too fast and might leach to copper toxic level. Review: The mugs are great!
