I had to grind some hardened steel and these bits effortless did the job. Take your time and let the bits do the work for you. Apply minimal pressure and do not use any sort of lubricant. Spin at the fastest speed that you can. Depending on the hardness of the piece that you are grinding you may need to use more than one. I ended up only using two but every job is different. I highly recommend these bit and will definitely be buying another set or sets to give as gifts. Happy grinding!

When a sandstone grinding bit fails to accomplish a task with excessive wear to the bit, this diamond grinding bit will undoubtedly finish the job with little or no wear proving that the bit is of good quality. The assortment of bits offered in the received package provides a variety of different sizes when grinding different shapes and for grinding A36 steel it was not necessary to operate the rotary tool at maximum speed. When you think of the word 'diamond', high price usually follows however this set of bits was a very good value for the money.

These hold up well for how cheap they are. Fit my corded Dremel and I used to grind concrete down in some tight spaces.

I found these grinding bits to be excellent for working on mortar. I’m using them to grind out the mortar so that I can lay in some wires for my outdoor patio. They last longer than I expected!!

The grit is a bit too thick for doing finer work. Maybe I missed what the grit was.

If you've been following my reviews — and at this point, you should be, this is appointment reading — you know that I recently purchased eight carbide burrs with 1/4" shanks for my Dremel, which accepts 1/8" shanks. Those burrs now live in my garage in a clear box, a permanent exhibit in my Museum of Decisions, fitting nothing, mocking everything. But this review, dear friends, is different. This review is about GROWTH. When I found this 20-piece diamond bit set, I did something unprecedented. Something my purchase history suggests I was incapable of. I... read the listing. The WHOLE listing. I saw "1/8 Inch Shank." I read it again. I got out a ruler. I went to my garage, measured my Dremel's collet, came back, and read the listing a THIRD time. I checked the words "Compatible with Dremel Rotary Tool" the way you'd check a contract from a guy named Slick Eddie. I have never performed this much due diligence on anything, including my mortgage. Then, and only then, did I click BUY. My hands trembled. Not from fear — from the unfamiliar sensation of informed purchasing. They arrived. I walked to my workbench, past the carbide burrs (I maintained eye contact with their box, so they knew), opened my Dremel, picked up a diamond bit, and slid that 1/8" shank into that 1/8" collet like destiny itself had machined them for each other. The fit was PERFECT. I may have raised both fists in the air, alone, in my garage, like I'd won a championship. Because I had. The championship of reading. And the bits themselves? MAGNIFICENT. Twenty different shapes, all coated in diamond grit, all ready to grind, polish, engrave, and carve. I have ground things that needed grinding. I have ground things that did not need grinding, purely because I could. Stone fears me now. I walked around my yard looking at rocks like a predator. My Dremel, which spent weeks watching me hold incompatible tools up to it like an apology, finally roared to life with purpose. The 60 grit chews through material with the enthusiasm of a man eating gummy bears in week one of a ten-pound supply. Sixty grit. Twenty pieces. One correct shank size. The redemption arc is COMPLETE. Somewhere, the returns department employee who knows my name felt a disturbance, a strange peace, and didn't know why. It's because I got one RIGHT, Gary. No returns today. And Gerald. Sweet Gerald. (My red gummy bear, consumed in the pantry massacre, eternal in memory.) Gerald watched me fail upward through review after review — wrong quantities, wrong teas, wrong shanks. But Gerald never lost faith. As I carved my first stone with these bits, I felt his presence. I'm not saying I engraved a small memorial stone for a gummy bear with my new diamond bits. I'm not saying that. But the capability NOW EXISTS, Gerald. The capability exists. Five stars. Twenty bits. I used this product to groove out plaster cracks. I went through 2 of the stone grinding pieces and did maby 15' of cracks. I had much more to complete. I purchased this and used 1 bit and it was still working great when I finished. I probably ground out 50-60 feet of cracks or more in a house I'm working on. It worked great. I would purchase this again (but I don't think I'll need to for a while)
