Eat, Pray, Patagonia!
This book is an extension of the author’s first work, Camino of the soul. She continues her spiritual hiking adventures, this time in Patagonia! Her journey starts with her flight to Argentina and the aloneness that settled in when she first arrived. She defines the beauty of Torres del Paine national park, and notices how, as other hikers pass by stunned by the splendor, a smile is exchanged and her loneliness dissipates. She describes the gratitude that she feels while visiting Patagonia’s sacred sites of nature. During her treks she is ever accompanied by those who have passed who she still feels close to - her angels who can touch her soul anywhere. They whisper in her ear constantly. We wonder if it is because she has gone on a lone trek of self-discovery that she can hear them so well. Her description of her ex-husband and the kind freeing letter that she sent to him, followed by the stanch rejection on Valentine ’s Day was particularly poignant. We hear her reason to herself, “it is not about me”, and we apply it to our own lives. She has engaging conversations with a free spirited woman named Lexy Ann, whom she meets on the hike, a wise beyond her years soul. If you loved Camino of the Soul you will not want to miss reading about the authors amazing South American adventure.

Changed my perspective of the space around me
I stayed up late last night reading Katherine Elliott's book, Patagonia, and woke up early this morning to finish it. Then I went out for a run. My running route takes me next to a river and through a beautiful park, but on most days I don't even pay attention. I'm so busy planning for my day during my run that I even purchased a tiny digital tape recorder to take with me so I don't forget "important thoughts." I share this because this morning when I went out for my run after reading Ms. Elliott's book, I left my tape recorder on the counter. Instead, I wanted to listen to the Universe and hear what it had to say. A lot! From here on out I won't be bringing my tape recorder on my runs. I don't need it anymore. Her walk inspired me. Her openness to receiving inspired me. I won't be able to hike Patagonia, but through her story and words, I can definitely bring forth the idea of Patagonia on my runs.Ms. Elliott changed my perspective of the space around me and how I perceive what I see. And that's why I'm highly recommending this book.

Could Not Put This Down.... Again!
"Patagonia: the Camino Home" is the continuation of Katharine Elliot's intensely personal, yet totally universal story started in her first book, "A Camino of the Soul: Learning to Listen When the Universe Whispers."This book like her first, centres around her journey within while tackling the physical challenges of trekking, this time in Patagonia, Chile. As with her first, I found this book difficult to put this book down once I started reading it. Elliot not only writes beautifully but what she writes about is heartfelt and inspiring from beginning to end.I believe we are all called to learn what we came into the physical to learn, but not all of us have the courage to take the journey that will lead us to find and dance with the Divine within."Patagonia: the Camino Home" continues to encourage all of us to recognise that when the call comes to "be more", it's because we can do it, not without difficulty but because we all have the ability to find our way if we will just take that first step.

The Camino
First I read Katharine Elliott's book "A Camino of the Soul" which inspired me to begin a pilgrimage walk. After walking a part of the Via Francigena I read "Patagonia the Camino Home ". As I read this book I realized Katharine Elliott had put into words how I have felt for many years without ever being able to verbalized my feelings. She repeats in her book that you are always where you are meant to be. Sometimes you find out why you are there and sometimes you don't. But the comfort associated with understanding such an idea, to me, was enormous. Katharine Elliott was able by writing her experiences walking (hiking) in Patagonia to encourage me in all parts of my life to not give up and to do what feels right for me. She also speaks of angels at her side. I also believe someone is watching over me. I appreciated all the honesty of feelings and raw emotions that came through her writings. "Patagonia the Camino Home", for me, was very inspiring.

Open your heart and your mind to the strength of those angels around you trying to help guide you to a better you and life!
I sure enjoyed this book! This one even better than the first. Katharine did a wonderful job describing her emotions, thoughts, experiences and jubilation in her life's journey. You feel like you are right along side of her while climbing the hills or stepping on the rocks, seeing the colors or eating a little snack. Very descriptive with a warm and wonderful hug from her family members passed. She found strength and awareness she had not experienced prior to these walks. She helped me think about my angels that may be trying to guide me and I haven't been listening hard enough. Or noticing the signs around that in hindsight are so clear. This will be my mission... a little meditation and a little awareness of those who have passed in my life that are only there to help me. I enjoyed this read. Looking forward to her next walk and where that journey will take us.

I read every page twice...
After reading this, I felt comforted again that other people hear voices as I do. I also wanted to go on an adventure soon, not later, by myself, and experience life as Katharine Elliott is. I read every page twice and felt a stab in my heart and stomach when her ex-husband responded to her gracious email. I thought about a time that had happened to me. You see, when you read this book (particularly if you've read the first - and if you haven't you need to right away!), you'll think of Katharine as an old friend, and want to know everything about what's going on in her life. What she's feeling and thinking. You don't want her to hurt; you want everything she is searching for. For now I have to hope there is a third book, and more. A glorious and funny book from a truly gifted writer.

An inspirational account of the external and internal journey through Patagonia
This is a very inspirational account of the external and internal journey that the author went while trekking in Patagonia. This journey is the second that the author travels, in Book 1, she treks the Camino del Santiago all the time processing the end of her marriage. This trek is a continuation of that process as she learns to trust herself, the Universe and remain in the present. Her honesty and vulnerability is what speaks to you. THroughout her trek through Patagonia, small things remind her of her past. It is well written - you can almost smell and touch the amazing environment she is trekking through, I'd definitely recommend this to book to anyone who is struggling with an aspect of their lives.

An engrossing book
Katharine has excelled in this new book. I loved her first book but this one is even better. Her description of the trail and its surroundings is almost like a picture being painted in your mind's eye. I particularly liked her many flashbacks to her childhood. Christmas Eve really grabbed me. It was so vivid and so amazingly similar to my own family Christmas, that instead of moving to the next chapter, I turned back and read it again. I look forward to her next book

Another lovely read from Katharine Elliott
I really enjoyed Katharine's second book. I stayed awake late over two nights as I didn't really want to put it down. I found it very inspiring and heartwarming. I could picture her journey from her descriptions, and It made me want to get out there and do some walking for myself. I especially enjoyed her flashbacks to her childhood. Thank you for another lovely read.

Learning how to Follow our soul, the Universe voice
It is a Spiritual growth, while Katharine was hiking in Patagonia. She afforded two different travels and the experience of Francigena Via is (at the end and meaning) the same Camino.A kind of Life Pilgrimage focusing on the voice of soul, like we have to. Her message is strong:"Trust, accept and the Universe will conspire on your behalf"In this special momentum nothing is out of life order: only peace. Big lesson. sometimes it happens i felt a little bit the same in Nepal, in Buthan , but she explains much better the process from her young age to the "now" including the hard end of her marriage..thanks.We are waiting for the next book!
