LEATHERMAN, Skeletool RX Multitool with Serrated Knife and Glass Breaker, Red

I chose this Skeletool over the others for a few reasons. I wanted a lightweight multi tool that would do the most in the worst situations. This one is bright red and easily visible. The knife is high quality steel and the serated edge will quickly chew through anything you can cut. The glass breaker is a must if you plan for emergency situations involving vehicles or needing to get through windows quickly when a life is on the line. The pliers, wire cutter, and carabineer are the same as the rest of the models - very solid. This model is very specialized in it's intended use, so keep that in mind.

The knife is sharp and the pliers are high quality. Small enough to carry in my pant pocket without getting in the way. Well worth the cost.

Great quality tool, well worth the money especially after 2 years of continuous use . The only thing I can complain about is how “sticky” it felt folding and unfolding but after 3 months it was a lot smoother.

This is a great EDC Tool for First Responders! it's light weight but has everything you really need, the Pliers are sturdy, the serrated blade is WICKED, and the bit driver is handy. I haven't had any paint issues like some of the earlier customers have noted, Leatherman must have fixed that issue... I’ve owned a lot of skeletools. It is by far my favorite EDC multi tool for the same various reasons others here will point out, and comes in very handy for most situations where a pocket knife, screw driver, pliers might just do the trick. Saying that, I’ve come to find a serrated blade is better suited for most tasks. The other skeletools I’ve owned have had the usual half-serrated blade and it worked well, but the RX’s full serrated blade had me really excited to get this one. I didn’t care for the colors (one other difference), but compromised and hit the “Buy Now” button anyway. It arrived on time, in undamaged, and as expected with one exception: the two rivets I have circled in the picture have burrs on the side that can be easily felt with your bare finger and may catch on fabric, etc. during use. If it weren’t for the paint, I would just sand them down myself and chalk it up to poor quality standards. As it is, I’ll probably just learn to live with it.

Skeleton RX: my favorite multi for leaving where I most use it. The skeletool design is simple, compact, light, and gives a nice grip. The built in clip is really handy to keep it where you need it. I don’t carry these on my person routinely, they’re in car gloveboxes clipped in a backpack, and in the garage drawer. The RX gives you a serated blade, which I usually find more useful. And it’s RED which makes it stand out when you’re looking for it in a sea of black and silver. I own bigger and smaller, but this gets the most use.

Me parece que la hoja y la pinza es más pequeña que la skeletool original, por lo demás es básicamente la misma los bits son intercambiables y me parece una pena que Leatherman no ofrezca el bit para romper cristales en set de bits. La navaja es de acero 154CM dentado la skeletool original tenía la variación que vemos en la foto dentada y una de hoja lisa a mi me gusta la combinada, por eso la idea de comprar la RX.
