CUISINART5-in-1 Grill Griddler Panini Maker Bundle with Waffle Attachment (GR-4N) - Includes Grill and Waffle Plates

I have owned a few of these, other brands, and they all do the job fine. My most recent one did not have removable plates which I preferred so I bought this one to replace it. Price was decent and I got all the parts that I should have including the waffle plates. I haven't had any issues whatsoever with certain areas not getting as hot as others or certain areas getting too hot. Everything is working exactly as I would expect. This device has the adjustable top so that it lays flat on top of your food instead of at an angle like many others. This is a fantastic feature that I wish my old one had had as well. However, the top has a lock so that if you want it to adjust to your food you have to pop it out of its locking mechanism, otherwise it just stays at the angle. It's not difficult and not really a pain to deal with. However, the first time I realized that it needed to happen was while I was cooking something so I reached up to pop it out of the locking mechanism and burned the ever-loving crap out of my fingers! Literal burns, red skin and blisters, the whole kit and kaboodle. The outside top literally sizzles water and burns flesh. I have no doubts that you could fry an egg on it. None of my other devices had this issue. I touch the tops quite often and did not burn myself. Just a note to other users out there, don't touch the top outside while it's on. Other than that, it's a great device. It is easy use, cooks great, and clean up is a snap.

I'm still getting used to this product. I love that it is versatile. The part I don't like is when grilling burgers, grease can easily overflow instead of draining where it is supposed to. I wish they'd made it to drain better. I do love that the plates for grilling, waffles, etc. can be put in the dishwasher to clean!

Using the grill is great for vegies. However, one has to be careful that the items are sliced to the same thickness so everything contacts the upper plate. Zucchini, broccoli, etc. come out great and the cooking does not take long.I have tried using the smooth plates, with the top open into the horizontal position for eggs, but it was a mess. The eggs did not pick up well with the spatula and there was no "stop" to get a spatula underneath like there is with the side of a frying pan.I have been making yeast-rise waffles every week for years with no problems on my old Calphalon. I bought the 5 in 1 griddler because I thought it would be easier to clean. The Calphalon does not have removable plates and they are getting a little dirty. The Cuisinart with the waffle plates has yet to work for me. The waffles stick and when they do sort of work, I find them too thin for my taste and prefer the much deeper ones made in the Calphalon. Others have suggested I use an oil spray on the plates which I have yet to try, but after several tries with extra oil in the batter, I am still getting sticking. Shopping in COVID times makes it hard for me to get the spray.If you like grilling vegies, I rate this grill at 5 stars. It's fast, they taste great and it's easy to clean the plates.

I received this last week and have cooked on it every night since then. I love it, it's made chicken, steaks, burgers, breakfast, waffles and salmon and everything came out great, the steaks could cook for less time than the recommendation for medium rare. It's detachable plates are super easy to clean and rinse easily. I'm in love and this is all I want to com on right now.

This product heating elements stopped heating up after 3rd use. Through Amazon I sent a response asking Cuisinart to please help with my new unit. absolutely no response from the company. very disappointed I was in the process of purchasing other products from Cuisinart. I WILL NEVER purchase another product from this company. I DO NOT RECOMEND PURCHASING ANY PRODUCTS FROM THIS COMPANY !!!!
