A ton of marketing effort went into the selling of these brakes. Regardless of ALL of that, here is a simple way to describe it from the consumer's point of view. The rotors appear to be nothing special. They are what is known as "white box" rotors. They show up in a white cardboard box in which they are bagged in an oily plastic bag. The rotors do NOT have a ground non-directional finish as shown in the photo. They have an average turned finish. NOWHERE is an reference to the name "Callahan" on either the rotors or pads, boxes, or parts. The rotors are labeled as "auto specialties" if I remember right, and the pad's box is labeled "powerstop". They are made in CHINA. One answer I got prior to buying on amazon was that they were made in USA but that is incorrect. Too bad, just a previous customer giving wrong info, or is it?? So, with all the differences from what is marketed to what I received, I emailed back to ensure I received the correct order. It was stated that I did get the right parts and that's just how it's done to keep prices down. The brakes work fine and that is probably the most important info to someone purchasing, just be aware that the slick ads for these brakes make them sound like they are some kind of "super brake". Bottom line is ok price for ok brakes. No smoke screen necessary. I do have a slight low speed squeal but it is rare that a brake squeal will last more than a few hundred miles. I attribute it to the pads being a little too loose in the brackets because of the rust removal that's necessary to make sure they slide ok. My problem not the brakes. As a side note; Wouldn't it be a nice feature to have an icon on each item page indicating what products are MADE IN USA? A flag or something? just an idea.4/2015 Just an update. The noise has been gone for a while now and the brakes stop fine. Pedal feel is good too. I took away 2 stars only because of the marketing balony which tended to misrepresent what I was purchasing.

I just installed the rotors and pads on my 2006 toyota matrix. Every fit just right, the only problem was replacing the old rotor, it just wouldn't come out, i had to use a pulley and a hammer etc. But as far as the brake pads and the new rotor they seem to fit just right, now i just got to see how long they last. I guess only time will tell.

So far all is working great. Everything matched up. Autozone wanted $75 per rotor and $35 for the pads. Im glad o went this route.

I needed rotors and pads for a 2007 Corolla in a hurry when I saw this combo set on Amazon at a price I couldn't believe. This wasn't a Prime item but shipping was included making it an even better deal, and then it arrived in just a couple of days!I've replaced enough brakes and rotors to notice when something is clearly junk but this stuff looked good, fit well, and went on easy. The entire job took about 30 minutes.I'm holding back one star to see how they last over time but so far they've performed well and are quiet.

Easy installed , Less than 6 months and it's already needing to be replaced.And the most important thing the brakes is fine it’s made a China!Perfect fit in my Toyota Corolla 2005.
