Interesting Analysis
The focus on this period in history is often on culture, fashion, wealth, high society, the disparity of the poor, but Tuchman also goes through the governmental history and policy of several countries including the USA before the War. It bogs down here and there but is a great overview in depth of what was going on leading up to WWI. The cause wasn't just about the assassination at Sarajevo, so much came before.

...to all the other books about the WWI ! you read it as a novel, it's so well described that and you can imagine all the actors !
