Destructive (Combative Trilogy Book 3)

So, here’s the thing... I am going into 2020 with the biggest book hangover of my existence.There.I said it.I planned on this year being ‘THE YEAR’ I get back into the swing of reading ALL the books the world has to offer. I haven’t read many books at all over the past year, because life got in the way, I did enjoy some rereads here and there, a few fantastic new books, but that is it. I’ve missed it and so here I’ve been, adding so many books to my note pad that I can tick off once completed etc etc...Well it turns out, Jay McLean had other plans for me when she blew my body, heart and soul to pieces when she delivered what can only be described as a literary phenomenon. Destructive- the third and final instalment of the Combative trilogy is “the book of the year.”I’m so invested in this finale that Jay McLean has crafted which may I add, not only blew any expectations I had, but actually destroyed me. I had so many questions from Combative and Redemptive. I had so many thoughts over everything, I was foolish enough to sit here trying to guess what would happen... but nothing I could have conjured up in my head would have ever been valid because what Jay McLean has written is truly OUT OF THIS WORLD.The twists, the turns, the emotions I felt from beginning to end, UGHHHH, I just can’t even function.The characters, I’ll never get over them. EVER. The character depths and development only add to Jay McLean’s never ending skill and I couldn’t be happier with how this trilogy concluded. A five star out of this world read.

I am so sad that I have now finished this trilogy, it was everything I love in a read. The emotion I felt when reading were so real, I felt my heart break on more than 1 occasion. I was conflicted and my heart hurt so much for Ky, was it the ending I hoped for? I don’t know..the twists and turns had me gasping. I love this author, she always produces the goods, I honestly think this is my favourite read of 2020

I have been waiting so long for this book and it didn't diappoint. I loved all the twists and turns from start to finish. It was so beautifully, beautiful. Heart breakingly beautiful. I cried. If you have read the previous two books, then you must read the ending.

Oh jay you have simply done it again! After a long, long wait all the questions are answered! An amazing end to the trilogy and one well worth waiting for. Bailey, nate, ky and Madison have a connection like no other out there. This is writing at it's best.

An amazing roller coaster. Was so not what I expected but it was brilliantly written. Totally original with so much love and emotion. So worth the wait.

This is the best trilogy I have read! I now have the biggest book hangover ever! Jay’s books are just so amazing - they have all the feels and make you never want to put that book down!Perfect ending to the trilogy! Thank you Jay ❤️

Just WOW!! I've binge read the whole three books so not had to wait as long as a lot of the readers to find the answers to all the questions from the first two books, which is an epic bonus for me, not sure if I could have waited 2 yrs to see the end of this. Just an absolutely outstanding epic read, seriously not one to be missed this!!Nate is one of the best characters I've read by Jay and this last book just confirms that, such a wonderfully layered character, not perfect by any means, but he did his best with what he had, I loved him. Bailey is just awesome, such a strong character for getting through everything she has and still being able to pick herself back up.Tiny was an absolute star in this also, always there for Nate no matter what, such a loyal and caring character.This third book ties in all the questions, puzzles, plots and twists from both books from different timelines and puts them all together and ties them all up, such a brilliant piece of writing, so much going on, but in the end it was just brilliantly done, it will leave you full of emotions. Such a spectacular trilogy this, angsty and suspenseful, heartbreaking and redeeming, a real triumph and one that will be hard to beat.The twist in the plot at the end had my heart breaking, I wasn't sure I wanted to finish the book!! But thank goodness I did, as the ending we got was just perfect.Not a series to be missed this one, highly recommended.

Time's Up!!Without a doubt the best Trilogy i have read this year !!!!!Bailie, Nate, Tiny, Ty, Jackson are characters that have both seen and survived the worst of life, and also experienced the best in life, but what happens now when the stakes are so high and almost impossible to beat the odds and win.I'll tell you what happens, Jay McLean happens and takes your heart, soul and mind on a roller coaster of epic proportions. Heart stopping, soul crushing, Unconditional Love at its best, grief and sadness and more and more surprises!! Bailie made up tenfold for the doubts i had of her, Ty left me in awe of the man he became or should i say the man he already was found himself again!! And Nate, oh my giddy heart !!!!! He absolutely owns your heart, words don't cover this book. You have to read it to feel it and OMG YOU SURE DO FEEL IT !!!!! Yet again Jay McLean takes no prisoners and no one is safe, from her Wrecking Balls blasting your heart !!! I WAS NOT PREPARED !!! But i live to survive another day because that ending couldn't have been more perfect !!!!!!
