Yes, it can, but I don't advise to do. I have checked the "pump start relay" Orbit 57009, relay is installed inside one sealed plastic boxes, it can used for outside or waterproof situation. yest this type contactor is mostly used air conditioner or cooling machine. its body is much bigger than orbit 57009 replay. it can not be ensure sealed and water may be enter inside if install the contactor inside. normaly as pump start relay it is used for outside or outdoor so that box sealed is basic requirement. but you can use one similar relay to instead of the original relay inside box.

hello Sir, it can be connected the contactor on the end side, you can see the screw on it, just loose it and put the wire inside, then tighten it, it can connect. but most advise that adding one spade terminal, and connect.

Just received one and the main connectors are lugs (for bare wire) - not screw terminals (for spade connectors, as pictured)?

Since it's not marked I take it either side can be L1 or L2

are they UL listed?
