I bought this GPS tracker to keep an eye on my son, who tends to be a little reckless and always on the move, and I wanted something reliable that would give me peace of mind. This device has honestly been awesome. The setup was simple and it took about 30 minutes for the GPS to fully calibrate and lock in, but once it did and I activated the $24.99 monthly subscription everything worked exactly how I hoped it would. The tracking is extremely accurate and I can see the exact location in real time, plus it shows how long the device stayed at a certain spot which has been really helpful because it lets me see where he has been and how long he stayed there. The battery life is also impressive because I was worried I would constantly have to recharge it, but it holds a charge much longer than I expected and for something this small it is surprisingly dependable. The tracking updates are very fast and you can choose how frequently you want it to update depending on how closely you want to monitor movement. The size is also super convenient since it is small enough to place just about anywhere without being noticeable. The app also allows you to set up notifications and alerts, although I personally prefer just checking it manually whenever I want. Overall the signal is strong, the updates are reliable, and it does exactly what it is supposed to do. If you are looking for a GPS tracker that is accurate, dependable, and has great battery life I would definitely recommend this one because it gives me a lot of peace of mind knowing I can quickly check where my son is when I need to.

You can get any smartphone, with a prepaid provider for $25 a month and get internet voice, data, and text. The fact that they are just using a SIM card for GPS makes $20 per month steep Versus the competition: I have always used to Tracki and I think this is a similar price with the subscription and advice, with very similar accuracy, destiny different platform and interface. It also has better battery life The prior version of Optimus is the best price for what you get, but the battery life is less and tracki he has more options. I simply looking for accuracy and price, not battery life, you don't this new version. However, has a one-time purchase I don't see why you wouldn't catch the one with the best battery life since tracking often poses a challenge when it comes to keeping it charged

Great little gadget, gave me peace of mind while subscribed. The battery lasted about month and a half with the 10 minute tracking setting. The magnet of the case is very strong and durable. The app is easy to use and I had great customer service when I cancelled my subscription. I can reactivate the service in the future with same device.

Overall a decent GPS tracker, but not as precise as I expected. Location accuracy can be a bit off at times, and the start/stop tracking times aren’t always exact. It works, but there’s definitely room for improvement in consistency.

This thing works great. I've tried othertrackers and either I can't get them to work or the subscriptions are very costly. This one is easy to set up, easy to install in my vehicle and is pretty accurate. Best part is the battery lasts a long time and you have several options for how often it reports which saves battery life if you have it report less frequently. This would be my recommendation for anyone looking for a low cost effective tracker. Just be sure if you use the magnet to attach to a vehicle that it is secure and will not get jostled loose and fall off. I lost one that way when we hit a bump really hard

I purchased this GPS tracker from Amazon with the intention of efficiently tracking my business van. Initially, it worked well during the first month, which gave me hope. However, the battery died just two weeks later despite the product description claiming a one-month battery life. It had been fully charged to 100% before installation, so this was extremely disappointing. I tried to give the company the benefit of the doubt, thinking perhaps I received a defective unit. I recharged it and got about two and a half weeks the second time. After that, it completely stopped charging. I tested multiple outlets throughout my home to rule out electrical issues nothing worked. I contacted Optimus support, and while they were polite and sent a replacement, unfortunately the replacement was even worse. It only held a charge for one week. The device shut off at 92% battery without any low-battery warning notifications. That is unacceptable for a tracking device meant to monitor a business vehicle. To make matters worse, connectivity became unreliable with the replacement. The tracker was installed properly in my work van, yet the location would not update. I had to call support to “recalibrate” it. They claimed it was fixed, but shortly after, the device died again within a week. At that point, I removed it from the van and gave up. In simple terms: I would not recommend this product. It is unreliable, poorly built, and not worth the money especially when you’re paying a recurring subscription fee. Over time, you’ll waste far more than it’s worth dealing with battery failures and connectivity issues. Very disappointing purchase. I am disappointed at Amazon for promoting a poorly build device to its customers.
