Lonely Planet Germany (Travel Guide)

Very helpful for upcoming trip

Some things were out dated, like Check Point Charlie is free for pictures now. Some of the places we went didn’t have great maps in the book.On the upside, some maps were great, tour suggestions were good and places to eat were good.There was a very specific lay out of things to do in Berlin if you are there 1,2,or 3 days including food, that was very helpful.

Like how areas are divided and highlighted so you can quickly find events. Wish it came in a spiral notebook design in larger print so you could add notes.

I bought 6 Germany travel books, this was my LEAST favorite. Descriptions are brief and bland. There is nothing to make you enthusiastic to visit. Frequently I would mark a town as 'pass-up", until I read my other 5 books. If you are unsure if your opinion would agree with mine do yourself a favor and buy it used.

I bought this book on the strength of a previous reviewer’s recommendation and am so glad I did. It is thorough and interesting and the ideal gift for anyone planning to travel to Germany.

Really helped us find places to visit in Baden Wittenberg and Bavaria very useful guide.

Good guide book delivered quickly.

Basically a phone book of tourist attractions and places to go. Definitely worth it.
