Denso 221-3125 Radiator

This arrived right on time before the weekend so I didn't have to change plans which is a big plus but the most important is that the part was brand new with no defects or damages since that would've been painful and frustrating process to go through. It's been a few days and about 300 miles since I've installed this on my 2009 gx470 and am super happy and appreciate the great job the seller is doing here. It fits perfectly and works great, the dealer wanted to charge me over $2000 for the part and labor and I took care of it with less than $220 so a big thanks to the manufacturer and sellers and please keep up the good job you're doing. This is why I felt responsible to leave a review here to make sure I send my appreciation as well as let other people know that they can get this done themselves fairly easy with some tools and about 4 hours of work. BTW I'll keep this review updated so if you want to come back a couple of months from now and check my updates to see how this works over time with more mileage on it.

Denso 221-3125 was a perfect fit for a 2006 GX 470. There are cuts on the top and bottom of radiator but after reading many websites, apparently, they are legit cuts from the manufacturer. The cuts help with the contraction of the metal as it cools and heats. However, the cut should not be so deep that it is cutting into the cells. Ran it about 50 miles so far and no issues. I will update review if any happens within a year. Tips for GX470 owners: 1. The bottom two bolts in the GX 470 is blocked by bumper. If you want to remove the bolts without removing the bumper, use a 10-inch extension and a magnetic socket so you can pass through the grill. It makes life better. 2. A lot easier to remove hose clamps with a hose clamp pliers. Very tight fit for pliers to be very effective. 3. The rubber grommets (where the bolts go through) must be removed and placed in the new radiator. Also, try not to pry off the nuts from the rubber grommets. The nuts are glued on to make it easier to unscrew and screw on the bolts without needing a second hand to hold the nut in place. Especially the two bottom bolts/nuts.

Denso perfection. Perfect fit as always. Don’t forget new hoses and clamps and a rad cap. Expect to use 2 gallons of coolant. The rad. comes with the connections for the transmission installed and a petcock.

I have not installed the radiator in my GX 470, but so far it meets my expectation. Appears to be exact copy of original and is well made. It arrived quickly and in great shape. Certainly has my recommendation based upon my experience, thus far.

Looks fine, fits good, no issues so far been a week. Better not be a problem paid top dollar for it $160+ while amazon sells other brands for this truck for $60. Suppose to be what factory lexus uses but doesn't look exactly like my oem factory one that it replaced. They should pack it better during shipping. The just wrapped it with cardboard on one side then use plastic ties to hold it together.

Purchased to replace the original radiator on my 2006 Lexus GX470. Old one was leaking along the seam between the aluminum radiator and the plastic ends. Installation was not hard but not extremely easy either. It took longer than expected mainly due to the plastic fan shroud. The plastic has become brittle where the top bolts hold the shroud to the radiator. I had to run to the auto parts store and get JB Weld for plastic before I could reinstall everything back. Once I fixed the shroud, everything went back together without too much issue. The longest part of the install was waiting for the JBWeld to cure so I could reinstall. So far no leaks but it’s only been 2 weeks.
