Effortless: Make It Easier to Do What Matters Most: The Instant New York Times Bestseller

This book certainly lived up to its title. Greg has written a very practical book that is really easy to read. Like his previous book, Essentialism, it is well structured and contains valuable insights right to the end (unlike so many business books that have all the value in the first third of the book and the rest is padding!). I would highly recommend this book for anyone looking to make life easier while still achieving the essentials.

Good book but very simple if you’re someone who operates similarly already, I imagine this would be great for a beginner to self development & productivity etc. My takeaways were “visualise what done looks like” which I’ve incorporated into my morning meditation, other than that I didn’t have any stand out points but think it would be a great book for someone starting out on a SD journey

“Effortless” is the follow up to the excellent book “Essentialism” by Greg McKeown.In a world where we are often overwhelmed, stressed and seem to rush from place to place, where we are expected to worship the “hustle culture”. In “Essentialism” Greg explains how you can do more, by doing less.For example, have you ever been to a meeting that was a total waste of time, but somebody who didn’t go asks you, “so what happened?’ And you explain the meeting in 30 seconds. That person is an Essentialist.In “Effortless” Greg carries on the same theme. I should point out, while this is “part 2” there is no duplication and in fact this is just a well researched. Each chapters has a moral to the story and Greg walks you through a metaphor, in his storytelling. The book is easy to read, with a shed load of “mike drop” moments.

A great book that is highly recommended for those looking to make life easier.

This is a really great read. It is the perfect blend of thought-provoking but fun, essential yet enjoyable which makes for effortless reading!
