Hi, The Mop has a smart rotary lock switch that you unlock and when you place the mop in the bucket and push down on the handle the bottom half spins. The stainless steel basket at the bottom will also follow, by turning the mop dry.It works well without pedals.

Q: How do I get the part on the mop plate where the handle attaches to move up to a 90 degree angle? It won’t move at all

Please put the mop handle into the plate first,and then place your foot on mops material fabric not on the metal disc and pull on the handle,it will turned to 90 degrees.
