Recipe Traditions - Scrapbook Recipe Keeper

I think that this recipe book is lovely. I love Susan Branch so I was excited to find a book that I could write in all of the recipes that have accumulated in my kitchen junk drawer! The book is a nice size that it doesn't take up too much room but is substantial enough to hold a good bit of recipes. I also like that it is a binder style book so that you can add and remove pages as you see fit. It also includes dividers for the following categories: appetizers, main dishes, grilling, side dishes, cookies, and desserts; as well as cooking tips for each of those categories. There are five clear plastic plastic pouches to put recipes in until you can write them down or to keep that handwritten recipe from grandma. I can't wait to finish copying all of my recipes in it that I accumulate from the Internet. So much easier to have them all together in one easy book in my opinion.

I have had this recipe book for many years, having created my own recipe pages to continue adding my recipes. Loved it so much that I just bought one for my son's girlfriend who is in culinary school. The price is phenomenal - GREAT bridal shower/wedding gift for a lifetime of deliciousness!

I ordered this because my granddaughter had requested that I write some family recipes down for her to keep - way more than I expected - kind of a "scrap booking" layout with beautifully illustrated recipe card inserts and pages - lots of stickers and labels to use - many pretty pages for her to add more recipes as she wishes - also a nice sized 3 ring binder so additional items can be added later. Very pleased - picture and description on Amazon doesn't really do the book justice

I used these binders to create 13 books full of Mother's best recipes for family members. Photos taken during her life were added on each division page plus throughout to enhance the cookbook . I was able to use recipes written in Momma's handwriting which included her changes or additions noted in margins of her recipe card or newpaper found recipe. Each daughter, niece, cousin and dear friend are delighted they are the receipent of this gift!

I thought I would try to get all my recipes in order so I bought this. I am working on it. It is lovely in design, as all Susan Branch books are. This would be a nice gift for a bridal shower, especially if you inserted some family recipes.

Although the scrapbook has very cute drawings, etc. I was unhappy with the 3 ring binder. When opening or closing the rings, they at times do not line up and I must move them slightly. I considered sending back the binder, but I had already opened the binder and some of it was enclosed in shrink wrap. Also, I was hoping that the tabs would be plastic coated and firmer as with use the tabs will become bent.

I bought this for my daughter for Christmas. She absolutely loved it!! It comes with stickers to attach to your recipes, large recipe cards etc. It was much larger than I thought it would be. It comes with dividers for each section you create. It is very good quality! She hasn't put it down since she opened it up. Great gift!
