These things work. Hands down, they catch an f ton of flies. The one thing nobody mentions is how foul they smell when they fill up. Holy Mary mother of God it is disgusting.

BEST fly traps you can buy! This spring there have been an increase in flies and other pests. This bags have great decreased and almost eliminated the flies.

They smell awful, but I have never seen so many dead flys, itโs ridiculous. They work extremely well just donโt put too close to your door, or where you chill in the yard.

For some reason, we have A LOT of flies this year so I initially tried a different brand of trap with the same design as these that worked well, but were quite a bit more expensive. These work really well to catch a lot of flies, but when my husband put them up, he didn't read the part that says to put them 20 feet from an inhabited area, so he put one of them about six feet from our back patio slider. After about two days or so, I started smelling something really, really foul and I thought it smelled like either human or cow poop. He thought the neighbors directly behind us had fertilized since they have a garden, and I'm wondering what the heck is in that fertilizer! After about two more days, the smell was not going away and I started to think maybe it was the fly traps. Sure enough, I read the reviews and many people said they smell bad. I also read the instructions saying to put them away from your living area to minimize the smell and keep them from attracting even more flies to your living spaces. I noticed there were seventy million trillion times more flies than we had when we put them up, as they were actually attracting flies to our patio - that's what they're supposed to do and they were doing it well! Talk about embarrassing! Now I'm thinking our neighbors behind us, who are only separated from us by a block wall, were wondering what the heck we were doing over here that caused that smell! So I moved it away from the patio and over near our pool, but when I'm in the pool, I can still smell it. We have a smaller lot so there aren't really any other places we can put these traps where they'll get the flies we need them to and we won't still smell them, so they just may not work well for us. We live in Las Vegas and with it being in the high 80s to mid-90s this week, I think that makes the smell quite a bit worse, and it's only going to get hotter over the next few weeks/months. They may not smell so much in an area with a much cooler climate and we may have to wait until the winter or early spring to try them again if we have a fly problem again by then. So, in conclusion...these traps do what they're supposed to do really well, but if you're in a hot climate and have a smaller lot where you can't get them far away from your living areas, they may not work for you.
