Listen up, y'all.I thought the other reviewers were just whiny people that didn't even try to apply the screen protector properly, which is usually the case in other reviews in my experience.Alas, they were all right in claiming that this screen protector is virtually impossble to apply to a screen without causing bubbles, however small.Recommendation: DO NOT USE A HARD EDGE SQUEEGEE ON THIS SCREEN PROTECTOR. It will leave traces due to the soft nature of the matte surface.Why?The amount of static that these protectors generate when being aligned, readjusted, and initially separated from their protective layers, simply pulls in every tiny dust particle from your immediate vicinity. It does not help that they are fairly thin, with a matte surface, either.So, Mr., you have to have screwed up somewhere, right?Ok, there is no way to get a completely particle free work area, let's just leave it at that.I have owned more devices than most average folks, and I have had screen protectors on all of them, ranging from "top of the line" to "cheap Amazon crap" and this is by far the worst screen protector I have ever had the displeasure of working with.You get your screen surface clean and completely free of particles. It looks pristine, like a neat-freak's wet dream. Here's the thing, y'all, it's an illusion.As soon as you either lift to gradually apply, or entirely remove the rear protective layer, it will generate so much static electricity that it just sucks particles in from all around you. There's not really any way to remove these, I tried with the adhesive stickers that come with the kit, and it grabbed the largest ones and missed the smaller ones. Same on the screen, it does not matter.Once you lay this baby down, no matter how carefully you do it, it will have attracted the smallest dust particles and they simply will not go away. When you apply, they will show up as 1-3 millimeter-sized bubbles that you simply cannot remove. You can use a squeegee, hard edge or not, but it will not help you, at all. You are still stuck on the 8th circle of Hell and the only way to go lower is to kill yourself.My first try was pretty decent, although it still had several small bubbles that can sometimes become very visible depending on the ambient light. Other times you do not even notice them.I decided to try to improve this, and my second try was an immediate failure because the screen protector immediately sucked in dust from my desk as I peeled off the bottom corners and started applying the protector slowly, with a squeegee with a cloth-covered edge to prevent scratches on the matte surface. Didn't matter how many times I tried to slowly lift the protector up and try to get the particles off, it was a deal done.My third try is probably the best out of them all, with the exception of a larger bubble in the center of the screen. This is what you will see in the photos. Still a pretty hard nope to me.Final verdict: don't buy these unless your favorite thing to do is cry because the trolls got to you.Update 6/24/22: I have had this protector on my Poke 3 for a while now. I like the texture and anti-glare surface. It would have been a fantastic screen protector if it wasn't for the extremely difficult installation.

This is so hard to install and the instructions aren't so clear. The cleaning clothes of mine came with a kind of white dust that make hard to clean and install.

This is made to fit the full frame of the device, but the Poke 4 has a recessed screen. When installed, it does not even touch the screen of the e-reader. Once you use the touchscreen, the protector does adhere, but only where you press. Since it sticks to the frame, it simply will not adhere to the edges of the screen AT ALL. This is literally useless if you’re using a Poke 4.
