Nice clock with last minute countdown
I purchased this clock because I like the analog look and flag drop. This one has a special last minute indicator. When I got the clock I was afraid to over wind it, so after doing what I thought was a wind, I tried the clock and one side didn’t work. So thinking I would have to return it I tried winding it harder and got a nice clicking sound. So I wound it 5 clicks on each side, and it started working beautifully!! 5 clicks has lasted for several hours. So my advice is to wind it till you hear the clicks, then stop before going to far. Works great, very pleased with the wood case and flag indicator.

Classical Analog Chess Clock
While analog chess clocks are no longer used much in formal tournament play, still many of us older players have better visual comprehension when using the analog clock-faced timers like this unit. It has large 3" dials and a nice stable light colored wood housing, making it quite appealing for casual play as well as display when not in use. I also have a nice full-featured digital clock for times when the extra features provided by digitals are desired. Nevertheless I find that I still prefer the analog type of clock and (excepting the lucky find of a working antique), this is the best contemporary clock that I have found.

Got it For Nostalgia&Aesthetic. Excellent Quality
No bells and whistles (except the super nifty last minute flag), just a well made chess clock. Perfectly paired with our House of Staunton Fisher-Spasky set - it is identical to the clock used in their 1971 match with the exception that one was actually a different brand, but the aesthetics are on point! Manually wound, you have to equalize the buttons to stop time on both clocks - and since this is the traditional way to stop a chess clock, i am happy they left the mechanics as they used to be!Not for tournament play, does not have a delay, etc.It is perfect for chess players who enjoy the aesthetic & nostalgia of a wooden chess clock. German made (i believe) and the craftsmanship shows. Very happy with our purchase.

Insa Classical Chess Clock made in Serbia.
Not really as good as Yugoslavia era. But it is OK. The quality is lower than 1990's.

Expected better quality for the price
The clock is functional, but one of the hands came out of place (broken). Hopefully it was easy enough to open it and fix it with some glue. I just fear it breaks again in some time.I expected that for a 20 o 30 dollar clock, but not for $75.

Time for Queen's Gambit
It is kind of cool to use the real thing when you are playing chess. Sure, there are digital chess clocks, but hearing the gentle ticking of the clock is nice. Well made case and I am presume the wind-up mechanism, will last many years. Nice touch to your chess setup.

Looks more impressive in real life than the photo.
Worth the extra $$$ over a plastic chess clock. Fits in nicely next to a wooden chess board.
