Great childproof fencing for your electronics...
We bought this when our little one began crawling around 7 months to help keep him contained within his designated area.Initially we tried the default hexagon shape, as seen in the main product images, but found that he got easily fussy and wanted more space to move about, as well as to visit us in his journeys. Using the panels in smaller sections, moving some pieces of furniture and with a few different bungee cords, we were able to convert this play yard into a barrier structure that allowed free movement throughout our living room, while keeping him confined, and protected our various electronic equipment, plasma display stand and HTPC for example, from busy little hands. When he was around 18 months old, we did try the hexagon shape; however, he was able to move the entire structure, toys and all, with minimal difficulties. Within about an hour of getting this all set up, we broke it back down into the bigger structure that we had implemented. He has used some of the structure for strength building exercises, which wasn't intentional, by standing near the structure and pulling it away from the furniture that the bungee cord was wrapped around. Basically, we inadvertently created a workout area for him during the early years that allowed him to become stronger and develop at his own speed.Over the past 2 years, this has held up well and we still use it to discourage him from the main living room electronic area, as he can easily reach over for most things that are of interest. Overall, this is a great tool for providing a child friendly environment and is definitely recommended. If you found this review "Helpful", please click the button below.

Perfect for indoor and out! tips on 12 panel setups
This is a great product, I purchased two and just need to inform those that do what I did (which was conntected the two sets of 6 together). When you use two sets of 6 to make a large 12 panel play area you will need to make sure to angle every other panel connection inward to maintain stability of the perimeter gates. It can be dangerous if you don't, I understand that North States probably doesn't recommended a 12 panel setup but 6 panel isn't enough to let my child roam around our yard and living room ( Living room is about 900 SqFt).She loves it and its an awesome addition! It lets her roam without worrying about her getting into something she shouldn't or smacking her head off of something.Planning on buying another 12 panels for the yard so I don't have to keep moving it out to the deck or out to the grass. Will post some photos of the 12 panel set up for those interested once I am back home.

Must Have for Parents.
I literally could not get a thing done with out this. What a lifesaver. I put my daughter in it once she started to crawl, and I only wish I would have had it sooner, when she was rolling all around the room.It is great to have a safe place to put her, where I know there aren't any outlets or random tiny objects on the floor that my vacuum cleaner somehow missed, but she inevitably finds and tries to eat. It is very portable, great for when she stays with her grandparents (who's house isn't exactly baby proofed.)I will say that once she really started exploring her surroundings and crawling more efficiently, she wanted nothing to do with the play yard, and would scream when ever I put her in it... but not to worry, I just fully extended it and now use it as a really long baby gate to keep her in the livingroom and out of the kitchen.Said all that to say this: if you have a baby, you need this. It will be the best $50 (give or take a few $) that you'll ever spend. If you know someone who has a baby, or is about to have one, get them this as a gift and they will think of you and thank you at least once a day when their baby is 6-9 months old.

Father and daughter approved.
I ordered this together with the door expansion. Unfortunately when it arrived a small piece has broken off the yellow panel at the point where it joins the next panel. The yard was functional but I was worried about our child injuring herself on the resulting (admittedly not particularly sharp) edge. Rather than return the playpen I contacted the manufacturer directly and explained the situation. They apologized profusely and immediately shipped a replacement panel. Fantastic customer service. With the expansion this encloses a reasonably large area. We have it set up on a rug in our living room. My wife or I frequently sit in the yard and play with our daughter. With two adults and our 11 month old (plus a Fisher and Price house) it gets a little crowded. It serves to keep her out of trouble when we are distracted (previously we would have to put her in her high chair or a jumper to go to the bathroom - she much prefers the yard). I prefer not to put her in the crib (though do so occasionally when getting dressed in the bedroom since that is kept toy free and is supposed to be for sleep. The yard is also very helpful when unloading groceries etc. from the car. I ferry bags, strollers etc. in stages so that I am always in sight of her. Our daughter had the tendency to lunge and so I prefer to have both hands available while holding her.She likes to pull up on the mesh walls. I actually think the secure handholds hastened her walking. She is about 20lbs and shakes the walls but has never looked like compromising the structural integrity of the yard. As long as we keep it on the rug she also cannot move the walls much.We have the gate and I have no trouble opening and closing it one handed. However I have no trouble stepping over the fence (and I am only 5'7") so I normally do that instead. Our younger cat could definitely clear the walls of the yard but has never done so. This gives us an area guaranteed to be free of tracked litter. I can put her in the yard while I vacuum before I let her roam.I would definitely recommend this yard.
