These work great. We put a new one in our travel trailer black water tank before every trip. It really does keep things smelling fresh. Easy to use - just drop in a packet.

Perfect for RV Travel – Keeps Things Fresh and Clean!
The Camco TST MAX Camper/RV Toilet Treatment Drop-INs are a must-have for any RV owner! These drop-ins are incredibly easy to use and effectively control odors, ensuring my RV’s bathroom smells fresh no matter how long the trip. They break down waste and tissue efficiently, and I’ve noticed that it also helps maintain my septic system. The orange scent is pleasant and not overpowering. The 30-pack is a great value, and I feel confident using this product every time. Highly recommend for keeping your RV’s toilet and holding tank in top condition!

Good product needs better packaging
Love the scent and function. Would have given 5 stars but some sachets were torn and powder got everywhere. The lid also popped off before opening the parcel.

Camco TST MAX Toilet Treatment Drop-INs – Great for My Camp Toilet
I’ve been using these Camco TST MAX Drop-INs in my small camp toilet, and they work great for keeping things fresh and functional. The 30-pack is perfect for my weekend camping trips—each packet’s a little brick that I toss into the tank after a dump, and it gets to work fast. I’ve got a basic portable toilet (about 5 gallons), and one drop-in handles a full day’s use for two people, breaking down waste and TP like promised. No clogs or sluggish flushes so far after a dozen uses. The orange scent is a big win—it’s strong enough to mask any stink without feeling like you’re sniffing a citrus air freshener factory. I was worried about odors in tight quarters, but these keep the tent trailer smelling clean, even in summer heat. They’re septic-safe too, which is clutch since I sometimes empty at campground facilities—no guilt there. The resealable bucket keeps them dry and easy to grab on the go.A couple notes: the orange dye stains the water a bit, which isn’t a problem but looks odd at first. Also, they dissolve quick—great for action, not so much if you’re pre-treating and letting it sit too long before use. Compared to liquid treatments I’ve tried, these drop-ins are less messy and more convenient, though you’ll burn through them faster in a bigger RV tank. For small camp toilets like mine, these are spot-on—effective, odor-busting, and hassle-free. I’d give them 4.5 stars, rounded up to 5 for how well they fit my setup. Toss one in, and you’re good to go!

Camper van feedback
These are made for 40 gallons but we are using them in a Thetford porta potti and the experience is so so. There are lots of reviews on here but not many from a van perspective so wanted to share feedback as it’s much different when the waste is in your living space vs below your vehicle. Experience 1) the instructions say to put whole 40g packet in for even porta potties. As others have said, gas builds up and I went to open the flush valve and the waste water sprayed me in the face. I recommend only putting half the packet in the first day and always slowly open the valve to help relieve pressure. Experience 2) there were 2 poos in there and the odor control only lasted 5 days and it was unbearable. Note the max it ever got in the van was 85F. Experience 3) a week of only pee … lasted 7 days and again the smell became unbearable. As soon as you start to notice faint smell you need to take immediate action bc the next day it becomes unbearable. Other notes: the toilet does dump into RV dump easily and clean. All solids are dissolved including toilet paper. While I don’t have experience I recommend traditional blue Thetford aqua kem. I ordered some for my trip but it never arrived in time. Don’t make the same mistakes I did! Yes I’m aware it has formaldehyde. If you do your research you’ll learn this is a non-issue for your health and every state but California
