Not a bad pad for the price, gets the job done, just be careful with it
This cooling pad works great with my 15" MacBook Pro. My only concern is that the wire that connects the pass-through USB to the unit (to deliver power to the fan) seems thin and somewhat flimsy. Although it has not happened yet (2 months into ownership) I suspect that too strong a tug on that wire would pull it from the housing and render the entire unit useless. I, therefore, am very careful whenever I move the cooling pad and so far, so good.

let it cool down for 10 minutes and the start it again
I bought this cooling pad after noticing that my laptop performance significantly drops and the unit gets very hot (I keep my laptop close and use a large monitor as a display). When it happened, I would turn off the laptop, let it cool down for 10 minutes and the start it again. My thought was that the CPU's performance drips when it gets too hot, so I decided to buy a cooling pad.It seemed like all cooling pads do the same work, so I was looking for the most quiet one at a reasonable price. The DEEPCOOL Laptop Cooling Pad was priced at about $16, and that was in my price range. This unit did wonders!!! I can keep my laptop running for long time (days, at times) and I don't experience any of the performance issues I did. The unit is very quiet (it's positioned 3-4 feet away from the monitor), and is hardly noticeable.

works well
brought down my laptop temprature from 75-80 deg C to a much healthier 25-30 deg C. one large fan, doesnt run too fast and is fairly quiet. the USB power cable i'd say is the only let down and this is only a very minor gripe. when it plugs into the laptop, it is a little bulky (on the side of the computer).otherwise its all good
