The large case is close to the size of the antique "16s" size pocket watches from Elgin, Hamilton, Illinois and Waltham. This high quality mechanical pocket watch features a shock protected 17 jewel wind up mechanical movement. Like all mechanical pocket watches, it must be wound daily to keep time. Very Nice Watch
This is my first pocket watch. I had always wanted one and finally cracked. Its picture doesnt do it justice. Very easy to wind and set time, keeps good time so far. I went with the 51mm because I have bigger hands (it's still smaller than expected but not bothersome). My only real complaint would be the chain feels cheap but thats because it is.For the price, I'm very pleased. I look forward to being a Desperdo watch owner and upgrading to an even nicer model when I'm not on a student budget.

Outstanding performance & finish
This is the finest pocket watch I've ever owned. And over the years I've owned a few. I'm genuinely impressed w/the accuracy & the heavy gold plate. The movement is highly accurate. I simply keep aware that it must be wound twice a day to keep it up to snuff. All in all I'd highly recommend this pocket watch to any gentleman out there. Top notch. Thanx William M. Great watch!
I am extremely pleased with this pocket watch. It has a very handsome appearance, a good weight, and is accurate. It should be wound daily but will easily make it almost a day and a half between windings. The gold tone finish is quite nice and the accompanying chain is sturdy. A great value for the money!
