Immersive experience at home on the cheap and awesome customer service
This thing is pretty amazing. I went ahead and got this device and realized that if I had tried to make it myself using the cardboard template, I would have been missing the lenses and the capacitive touch sensor. Both of those things really make this product. The lenses add to the immersive experience and the ability to press a button to interact with various apps is so key to be able to interact in someway with the environment. Awesome job on this product EightOnes!!In addition, their customer service is outstanding. I had a small issue with the product where I got a little overeager and placed the velcro in the wrong spot on the device (be careful about that - measure first). When I tried to take it off, it ripped the cardboard a bit. I told them about this issue and they sent me a replacement, no questions asked. That was pretty amazing and their customer service speaks volumes about the company. I gave them feedback that they needed to include some sort of mark or instructions (preferably both) about where to place the velcro and hope that they incorporate some changes in the next version. It would be nice too if when using the headstrap, there was some sort of barrier between your face and the lenses - it does press up a little too closely, but not a huge deal. All in all, killer device and hell of a way to be introduced to VR.

Velcro does not hold at all.
Second one I bought after the first version failed. This one has failed as well. Both times the problem was from the adhesive used to hold on the Velcro. Knowing that it was a little weak.. I tried to be easy with it this go around..no dice.. failed almost immediately. Amazing customer service.. but very unhappy with both products.

Very nice if you've never experienced VR before.
This is a great starter, especially for the price, for anyone who hasn't tried VR. Obviously cardboard will not hold up to too much wear and tear but it gives you a great idea of VR. The lenses are not adjustable so keep that in mind, a unit that's pricier will have rough adjustments for the lenses so the view may be a bit better for those who wear glasses. If you haven't tried VR before you really can't beat this unit.

Possibly the worst quality product I've ever ordered on Amazon.
I don't understand where all the other glowing reviews are from. The quality is atrocious. The head strap is too small (I wear a size S helmet and this is still too small), the velcro pads are simply stuck on, and at two places ripped clean off (at the strap velcro, and at the side flaps). This is totally useless now. Also, the nose "pad" is just a bunch of sharp corrugated cardboard. Not terrible, but not at all worthy of any stars.

Great entry point into VR and awesome customer service.
For the low price the product that you get is well worth it. The button on the top works perfectly and the velcro that holds the headset closed is still holding strong after a good amount of use. The headset isn't fragile but it will break if you treat it very poorly. Overall this is a very good entry point into VR. 5/5 for the low price/vs/quality I was also extremely impressed with the customer service of EightOnes.

Way better build than expected
Being cheap and made of cardboard, I expected it to be a bit flimsy, but it's actually really sturdy! The included strap is long enough for it to fit comfortably around my giant head. If I had one tiny complaint it's that it's a bit rough on your nose after a while, but that's not enough to knock a star off. Oh, and their customer service is excellent.

Great concept, not so great execution.
Easy to assemble, but lenses were covered with some sort of grime-- very hard to get the desired effect. Head strap way too tight, uncomfortable fit. No easy way to return item through vendor, so getting money back from Amazon.
