Excellent wind protection at a bargain price
I'm using this jacket as a wind layer while thru-hiking the Colorado Trail. It works very well in adding warmth over just my base layer (sun hoodie) or warm layer (sun hoodie plus alpha direct hoodie). Wind tends to immediately remove warmth from alpha direct fabrics; this is a good, lightweight way to counteract that. The gray, medium jacket weighs 2.2oz (62g) without the stuff sack. Ditch the stuff sack, it is oversized for the jacket, and you can use the jacket's chest pocket to pack it up small. The zipper is delicate, can catch the fabric easily, and is on the opposite side than normal for men's clothing. But this item is a fraction of the price of other manufacturers' ultralight wind jackets (such as the Patagonia Houdini).

quite thin and sizing runs small
this is sort of see thru, not solid white. If you are quite slender it is probably not a problem but I ordered my usual layering size and i would guess it was actually one or 1.5 more sizes smaller in actually. the thin-ness was not what i was looking for (looking for a high visibility safety white outer layer). it was made well and comes with a handy storage stuff sack but not really what i wanted. i gave 4 stars for water proofing - i did not test this, so can not be sure, but it seems like it would be waterproof despite it very sheer material. would the waterproofing last for a long while, i am unsure and wouldn't trust it on a trip without testing it out for sure.

AMAZING!!! best hood in the world. best value windshirt in the world!
First, this is NOT for rain!!! It is an uncoated wind/sun shirt. It has an amazing hood!!! One can wear it and NOT AT ALL feel encumbered by loss of vision or of sound. The uncoated nylon is "quiet" and super highly breathable. Also, the hood is so perfectly sculpted, one can easily wear it under a bicycle or climbing helmet with no adjustments needed. It packs down so teeny tiny, you can always carry it on any bike ride or hike. Coupled with an umbrella, it is perfect for wind and rain. If they wanted to optimize this for SUN, I would recommend they sew 3cm strip of mesh under the arms from the wrists up to the armpits, then down the sides. For hiking/windshirt, maybe a "handsize" patch of mesh at the armpits would make this perfect-even with the additional money the mesh sewing labor would add to the cost! Coupled with my Merino pullover hoodie, and umbrella, one has an amazing cool weather hiking outfit ready for all conditions.

Great for dressing wounds!
I did not receive something even remotely close to what the photo showed or what the reviews said I would. It’s SUPER light weight, which is awesome! However, it’s literally so thin it’s see through and looks like I’m playing a really poor mummy for Halloween. Ran some water along it and my skin got wet immediately…So…I’m not sure I’m getting the same thing as everyone else. Glad I can return because it’s literally not even the same item.

I'm not sure what it really does
It's a sheer and weightless mesh cell material. It is less water resistant than paper: it doesn't resist at all. I placed my forearm under the faucet and the water splashed my arm right through the sleeve. Was this some medical material meant to block germs?: I don't know. I'm not confident that it will block UV rays either.

Super light weight
Super light weight. I sprayed water seal on mine to turn it into a super packable rain jacket. But please note that out of the box this definitely is NOT a rain jacket

Shouldn’t advertise water resistant
I’m going to try and treat it with a water resistant coating. Other than that it’s equal to a strainer! Water passes through it with no problem.

Super light and comfy
This fits me perfect and stuffs down very small. Great for a quick layer or mosquitoes. I'm 6.1 175lbs. The white looks nice I'll see how clean I can keep it.
