Metropolitan Quilts Sur Le Bord Ptrn

This pattern looks interesting and should be fun to make. Unfortunately it is impossible to make following the instructions provided. Once I had the rectangles made I could not sew them together using these instructions. To make a good balance of colours I laid them out on the floor. From there they are identified only by size. Saying to sew together two of Size 4 isn't helpful unless I can know which two she's referring to. When she says to sew pieces together there is never a way to identify which two, or on which side of the quilt. It is written using very specific fabrics and the pattern refers to blocks by fabric name, which is very confusing.The background pieces are cut in such a way that more fabric is wasted than goes into the quilt. I definitely don't recommend any buy this pattern.
