Perfect for tea bags
I love these for shoving a tea bag in to make the tea. It makes it so much easier, no string to hold or falling into the cup when you pour the water in. No ruined tea if the bag fails, no drips to the garbage can when discarding. It is not great for loose leaf tea however, I still get particles in my tea. I use a different steeper for that.

Not perfect, but still pretty neat
I just got this last night and put it to good use. We're still out of power due to hurricane Sandy, and since I only have gas now, I just have been making tea when I get home from work, and go to bed. This product has its ups and downs, but no cons right off the bat will make for an emotionally shattering experience. Here are my observations:1. I like the plunger idea, it beats the little tea ball on the chain that I have since the tea ball I have to dangle it above the tea for a good couple of minutes to drain it, and those are too hot to open up right out of the brew to empty out. The plunger makes it empty out most of the liquid, and makes it easy to discard the tea leaves after.2. As stated in another review, the top of the plunger does pop off, and I can see a few people losing it if you keep it sticking out of your pocket, but it doesn't affect the functionality of the infuser. Like I said, not emotionally shattering, unless you're OCD about keeping it on. If that's the case, just gorilla glue it on and you'll never have to worry about it again.3. One con I have is more of nitpicking than anything, and that's due to only having one side as a fine mesh, and one side as plastic holes. The plastic hole side tends to let a lot of grinds escape, so you will get sediment on the bottom, but that's more of a complaint about not having a completely clear sediment-free liquid. If you have gunpowder green tea, or tea pearls, anything where the leaves are rolled and knotted, they don't nearly have as much sediment escaping, but I definitely wouldn't recommend this infuser with a roobios tea, all those needles will fly all over the place, you might as well not have an infuser at all at that point. One thing I would change is having the one solid side with the holes in the plastic, as a solid mesh side, so that both sides have it, and there would be a lot less tea floating around once you remove the infuser. All in all, those are little things to complain about. I just used it for the second time as I'm writing this, and I find no issues as far as functionality goes, but as I said, if you tend to nitpick about infusers letting off tea grinds, I'd say just cut your losses and get 100 packs of tea bags from adagio.com, $3 a pack can't go wrong, and cheaper than the $5 pack from Teavana.

Stays Closed
I had a previous gold tea infuser ball and it wouldn't stay closed and the loose tea leaves were in my tea.I purchased this infuser and the top snaps closed. I use it everyday with no worries of tea leaves floating in my tea

Fine tea leaks out the lid
If the tea is ground too fine it leaks out the lid. Otherwise they are fine.

Absolutely Recommend this item !!
I personally really love this item. I'm a huge tea drinker and I try to stick with as natural as possible which means more loose leaves and flowers instead of processed things in tea bags that you have no idea what it is. Before this I've tried many of the other infusers like the silicon ones. Those are cute but in my opinion and experience not practical. The tea just doesn't have the right circulation of water and air going in and out which would then allow the tea to steep properly and give maximum color and flavor. Most of the tea in the silicon infuser would be wasted cause the holes in the infuser would not allow enough performance for the tea to work.I really like using my metal ball infuser with the two tong handle. I was able to put enough tea in it and soak it in my cup with lots of water going in and out of it. The only complaint I had with this infuser was I couldn't squeeze the extra juice out of the leaves from the infusers. So you got whatever naturally dripped out of the infuser but not all the real hardcore flavor from the leaves after squeezing it.When I saw this Jokari Healthy Infuser I was soooooo excited to buy it and try it. I wanted to taste the difference between just infusing your tea in our traditional infusers without squeezing the extra flavor to this product, and boy !!! the first time I used the squeezer to squeeze all the leftover flavor from the leaves that the other infusers couldn't I was amazed. You can see the darker extra flavor come over and the tea is much more flavorful and stronger. of course if you like watered down tea then this item is a waste of money. I was brought up on tea and lived near many tea plantation fields. I love everything about tea....it's benefits, it's smell, taste, grain, how and where it came from........you want to use a product that best treats and extracts the goodness from them.I've only used this item 2-3 times and so far I love it. My only concern in the future will be two things...... 1) it's plastic so cracks and breakage could happen, 2) my biggest concern is the mesh......it can eventually rip if not washed or kept properly, and the mesh getting clogged up from the previous usage and not being washed properly.Overall yes I recommend this item and for the money even if it breaks it's affordable enough to buy another one.

Great idea, mediocre build, leaks tea
I was so excited to try this item when it came. I have made a few cups of tea with it but it leaks tea. I have tried to close it very carefully and then it seems to work OK but you have to be diligent when closing this device or it will leak tea into your drink.

So so. Not terrible but not the greatest
The media could not be loaded. ย Well. It seems super flimsy. But honestly it works pretty well. I haven't tried with loose tea as I don't drink that, but I have a feeling the tea leaves would get out. It doesn't seal the greatest

Flimsy
Works well on full leaves for tea but the finer stuff just seepโs out, very flimsy.

I found the space for the tea was not big ...
I found the space for the tea was not big enough and it makes for a very weak cup of tea. If you use a tea that expands a lot then sometimes the basket will open inside your cup and ruin the whole drink.
