Proctor Silex 4 slice Toaster Oven, White New

This toaster oven was smaller than I expected. It was described as able to hold 4 slices of bread, and it would hold only 2.

Frustrating to find a toaster oven that doesn't break quickly. I've been through so many. This one is great for saving space and doing the basics. Also wanted one that was small and white and easy to operate. However, it is also easy to accidentally leave the "heat" on since the device won't toast without the oven temp being turned to 450. After the toast is done, the user has to turn the oven temp off manually. Nothing reminds the user to do this - until you smell a burning smell of crumbs in the kitchen.SO VERY DANGEROUS FEATURE and one I've never seen in any toaster oven. Making toast shouldn't be that complicated or dangerous.I'm considering returning this despite the great size and price point.

This looked like our existing Proctor-Silex oven, but is in fact much smaller, too small to be useful to us. The current one is still working, but with a broken(ish) element that is a bit concerning. Probably lasted 10 years, so pretty good for what it is. Still looking for a near-identical replacement. (Seller also overcharged, but that is another issue.)

Tiny footprint which is great with limited Counter space. Price also hard to beat. Heating is uneven (hotter on top) and sliding shelf has no backstop, so it pulls all the way out if not careful. Doesn’t have the bottom removable crumb catching tray like my previous model which makes it a hassle to clean. But great value for basic toaster oven that can fit almost anywhere.

A real deal for the money and quite spacious inside. These toaster ovens always have your regular heating spots so you just have to watch out.

For the price, it's great. Baked potatoes done faster. Beautiful design. But keep rack on lowest level or food can burn.

I liked the description of this oven when I was researching it, but once it arrived, there wasn't enough space between the rack and upper heating element to bake a potato. No wonder there were noted risks as a fire hazard. Outside was not cool to touch and half of the rubber footings to keep it in place were missing.
