Such a fun game!
This game was a little confusing the first round or two but now the whole family, not just out 6yr old, can play and love this game!

Best Dino family game
Love love this game! Our 5 year old loves it and the east complexities of the game. He’s learning simple addition/subtraction as well, while playing! We play it at dinner time almost every night and even our 3 year old has a blast with parental guidance! Would recommend!

Fun but not for younger kids
Let me start with my 6 year old and I love this game. It’s fun and interactive and educational. Just playing this for the last few weeks I can tell his mental math skills are improving. However, I originally purchased it because I wanted a game my 3 year old could play too and it’s definitely too advanced for him. He can play with my help but it’s not something they can get out and just play together. Still highly recommend, and I’m very impressed with the Dinos included!

Outstanding Game!
This game is outstanding! We played this about 7x in 2 days! It's a quick and fun family game with lots of action to keep players interested and the math is a great bonus. The instructions could be improved as they explain what each card does, but it does not explain HOW the game is actually played. It needs a "how to begin" sort of order of play explanation. To help others: 5 cards are passed to each player. That first player can then choose an action based on their cards 1) choose/free a dinosaur 2) play a meteor card 3) play a math equation to discard and choose new cards. Only after people start collecting dinosaurs can the evil scientist and hunter cards be played. Adults and kids (age 12-5) enjoyed this game so much we played it 7x within the first 2 days. Highly Recommend.

If your child loves sleeping Queens, they will love this game too.
My just turned 4 year old granddaughter loves Sleeping Queens by Gamewright. She also loves dinosaurs. I decided to purchase this for her and even though she hasn't played it yet, I know she is going to love it. It has enough differences that I think she will alternate between wanting to play Free the Dinosaurs and Sleeping Queens. This game is amazing. The dinosaurs are full size toys. The purple one does have problems standing up, but I think it will be the favorite one. I am changing the rules slightly. When playing the dino cards with the < symbol, we will allow that player to call either less than or greater than and they get to draw their replacement card, the next player will play the points they want with the player who played the dino card going last, so that they have the greatest chance to win that dinosaur without possibly having to play their highest or lowest card. If two players tie in their bid, they will not be allowed to draw a replacement card and will have to rebid from their hand ( which is the original rules). I was hoping the cards would have some < and some > symbols. It kind of bothered me that they are all less than symbols, but you won with the greatest number. If the company ever does a reprint, I would suggest mixing them up, thus teaching the older kids the difference in less than and greater than. I highly recommend this game.

My 6 yr old daughter loves this game!
My 6 yr old daughter loves this game. We changed the rules to make it a bit more educational. We read a Dino fact about each Dino when it is freed and we only discard number sentences (as long as that is an option) instead of a single card. We’ve had this about a week and a half and my daughter begs to play this every day. I love that it is fun and educational. I highly recommend this game for any dinosaur lover between 5-9.

Fun but a bit tough for younger kids
This game is fun, and we can play, but it’s definitely not for three and four year olds. You can modify for your four year old, but the game requires use of math, so if you kiddo doesn’t yet know what 5+3 is, they might struggle without extensive scaffolding and instruction. It’s a good learning tool!

Love This Game!
My little one love dinosaurs but he hated math! The game involves math equations and it’s super fun, I actually loved playing it with my kid and I think it keeps adults entertained as well… The cards are beautiful and durable, the dinosaurs are colorful and very sturdy, and the board adds a lot to the experience... I highly recommend this game.
