PIONEER TS-WX010A Under-Seat Subwoofer – 160W Max, Pre-Loaded, Built-in Amp for Easy Bass Upgrade, Enclosure Included, Amp Included, High-Level Input, Works with Most Factory or aftermarket radios

The subwoofer is compact but for my purposes has surprisingly good bass. I keep it powered to a middle setting and it is loud enough for me. The unit was small enough to fit under the driver’s seat of my car and the supplied cables were able to reach the head unit. Installing the powered subwoofer was easy but required me to remove the seat and cut two small holes in the carpet to mount the mounting bracket with the threaded posts to hold the subwoofer down. The main power wire is thin but I believe adequate for the power needs of the amp without issues. There is no hum or ground loop that I can hear. Also I do not hear any rattling of the subwoofer due to the way it was mounted. I would imagine a 10” subwoofer would be far louder but that was not what I was looking for. I am pleased with this purchase and I have had zero issues with it since it was installed several months ago.

Unboxing: Right out the box you can tell this sub is well made. Pioneers been around a long time and it’s a brand you can trust. Everything you need is in the box with the exception of rca cables of your wiring it using that method or speaker wire if you plan to wire is using that method. Instructions aren’t great but if you have a general idea of how to wire car audio you can manage. Sound quality: it’s important to remember what you purchased. This is not going to rattle your windows and shake your interior panels loose. It is however going to fill in the low end of your music and and enough punch to make it very pleasant to listen to music. You definitely notice the improved bass and punch without being loud or obnoxious. This one’s really for YOUR listening pleasure and not that of others. I would call it grown ups bass. Verdict: If your priority if clean sounding bass that just sounds good (think luxury car audio type bass) without sacrificing space or your trunk then this is definetly for you. If you want your neighbors to hear you coming or you want heads to turn at intersections then look elsewhere.

Installed today. Installation notes / Other things to buy: 1. You will need an RCA cable splitter 2 into 1 likely 2. You will need a fuse tap 3. You will need to be aware of what fuse is accessory power, what cable on your head unit is power on, and where to ground Installed in my beater buick century. I had previously installed a new head unit and updated speakers. No separate amplifier, as I picked speakers that were within power handling ranges that made sense with the HU (JVC KW-56 BT, baseline 5 1/2 infinity front, and... JBL 6x9s). Wanted a little more oomph, did not want a ton. Did not want to deal with running power to battery or pay someone to do it. This subwoofer has a low power draw of under 5 amps, and the instructions (and confirmed by crutchfield) note to fuse tap. I had no idea anything out there was made for this. It's small compared to the underseat options, but i took a chance. Honestly i'm pretty well blown away by how much it adds to the sound. It's very much a sound quality addition to your car. I mounted under the dash, inbetween the passenger and driver footwells. With the crossover set to approx. 90hz, and the gain set to approximately 2'oclock, its fantastic. Classic 90s hip hop, thrash metal, metalcore, EDM... it all sounds really, really good. I've had full systems with multiple amps before and pretty discerning ear for car audio. I can't speak for how good this would sound mounted under your seat. But pretty confident that if you put this in a car with the same goal I had, to get more sound quality on the bass and hear the lower ranges, And mount it in the passenger footwell or similar area...you're going to be very happy with this. Yes, 200 dollars is a lot of money for something this small. but the sound quality will absolutely surprise you.

Wiring was very simple, and the sound quality is good. Can't beat the simplicity. It's advertised as responding to 60 Hz, but I don't get much below 80Hz or above 120Hz on mine and it's paired with a high-end Pioneer head unit. So the tone is a little weird and doesn't fully fill in the gap. Other than that, it's been a great addition to my system, and for my truck it's about the only option that would fit so I'm happy with it.

I'm running a JL Audio Fix 86 with sub outs that go to this subwoofer behind the rear seat. I'm shocked at how clean and the clarity of the subwoofer is. It's strong enough to vibrate the mirror, but it's clearly not going to shake the car. The size was perfect to fit behind the seats in my jeep gladiator and the sound is so clear and sharp that others are impressed when they hear it and learn it's coming from the incredibly small subwoofer. I've got the sub set at max gain and full frequency, but the Fix86 is set at 80hz and uses a remote to control the gain. All other speakers in the Jeep are infinity Kappa's which provide incredible clarity as well and I have those set at 80hz on the crossover.

Item is defective, doesn't even turn on. Reset button is gone, I mean is unsoldered to the main board (broken) I used a flashlight to take a closer look to the connectors and surprisingly all of them have rust. I don't even know why they sold this item in that condition. The outer shell looks like new. But the important stuff (connectors are really deteriorated).

Excellent sound quality at a great price. Fixed it in my Land cruiser, under the driver's seat. Wow! Super experience.

Very small, and impressively integrates itself with the music. No booming bloated bass. Power is adequate for my application. No window-rattling bass here, you shouldn't expect it from only 8". Not really a fan of BIG remote but at least it looks nice. I'm impressed and satisfied, especially for the price. If you're using speaker level input, you have to CUT the included cable end and split into + and - to connect the speaker input. Took me a few minutes to understand 1 sheet graphics based manual, but once I did, it all made sense.

Great compact sub, easy to fit with limited knowledge. Fits well in a Suzuki Jimny

Très bien pour équiper une petite voiture où la place manque pour un gros caisson de basses. Un bon complément pour des haut-parleurs de porte manquant de graves.

Para lo compacto y pequeño que es, es un producto 100% recomendable. Genera el refuerzo de los grabes para que disfrutes el sonido dentro del auto. No es un sonido de competencia de Car Audio, si estas buscando que suene afuera hay otras soluciones mas grandes y costosas. He instalado el altavoz detras de la guantera del coche, es impresionante lo bien que suena para el tamaño que tiene. Comprare otro.
