Essential Kafka (Wordsworth Classics)

What a deal. Great book so far.

Going to definitely re-read, my first go at Kafka is this book. The Trial and The Castle feel pretty similar and both for me at least, became redundant. I'm sure I'm missing all sorts of deeper meanings but I wasn't impressed, unlike my first time reading Dostoevsky or Goethe.The Metamorphosis is not a very interesting story. The writing of which reminded me nostalgically of various "Goosebumps" volumes. His describing of what it was like to be an insect didn't really excite me.So far as a very rough first take I have to say Kafka feels over rated. Especially when you factor in his low work output prior to his early death.Ps. Some of it kinda feels like a Vonnegut story at times.
