Much neater than potty chair!
I've been doing some casual potty training with my almost 2-year-old son for the past few months. We were using one of those little potty chairs, but it seems like every time he uses on that, all the pee goes over the splash guard and onto the floor. I decided to give this a try to start getting him used to the big potty and hopefully simplify cleanup. I'm surprised to see so many negative reviews about the splashguard. Works perfectly for our son--no more cleaning up pee off the floor! He seems very comfortable with it. I do put him on and take him off the toilet myself, so I can't speak for how well it stays put if a toddler is getting on the potty on their own. We have a round toilet downstairs and an oval toilet upstairs, and this seems to work on both (definitely better fit on a round toilet though).I did originally purchase this to be portable, so I was a little disappointed to find that it doesn't fit in our diaper bag because of the handles. It is lightweight though and very easy to get on and off the toilet. I also wish the storage hook was included, but at least it's cheap to buy separately!

A great product with a soft cushion and handles for kids ...
A great product with a soft cushion and handles for kids to hold onto while they sit and push.We bought this for my second son. He began potty training a little after turning two. We lived in a different house when my first son was potty training and used a built-in 2-in-1 child/adult potty seat for him. After moving we purchased this seat for the new house. I wish we had this when we were potty training our first!1. It's cushion is just soft enough, and fortunately, not as soft as other seats. This allows him to maneuver his legs without sinking into the cushion.2. It has excellent color rendition and graphics which have not faded with time or with liquid being splashed onto it :)3. The handles provide solid support for him to hold while he is seated and pushing4. Adult toilet seats come in either the elongated or rounded shape. The inner ring of this seat fits both shapes perfectly without much motion when the kid is sitting onto top.5. It is remarkably easy to clean without crevices that would be hard to get into. You need to rinse with soap and water in the bathtub and let it dry.Overall, a great potty training seat.

The kids like to use this over the little potty that would ...
This potty seat is very cute and worked well for potty training. We ordered one for each bathroom in our house. The kids like to use this over the little potty that would sit on the floor. I would say this is way easier to keep everything clean and sanitary by using this. We have had these for a year now and they are still holding up great. Especially that we clean with Lysol and cleaning agents. I have noticed that they can make a mess underneath on to the actual toilet seat so that is something to watch for and clean. However still a great option for toddlers to be able to use the potty. We prefer having ones like this that can easily be taken on/off and store right near the toilet.

Decent but not EXACTLY long enough. Not a deal breaker unless your child is scared of imbalances
If you have the elongated toilets that are in custom built homes and or not the cheaper round toilets (that I actually like comfort wise! Lol just not the look of it... anywho, this potty seat isn’t exactly long enough for the upgraded and elongated toilet bowls. It’s doable, but you definitely need to hold it in place just in case bc it could make your child feel unstable and scared of the potty of they are like my goofball cutie who has strongly dislike being laid at uncomfortable positions that make him feel unstable, like a changing table, or the seat of a car or truck that slightly angels lower than the edge of the seat (what a weird hang up right? Lol bless his sweet heart). So this could possibly be a deterrent if you’re wanting to avoid a toddler who isn’t so fond of the toilet or terrified of it like my middle child.

This Granny has no more headaches, lol.
I don't understand why there is so much negativity, bad reviews, for this potty. Some said they couldn't attach the 'pee guard'. All you have to do is pop the soft seat away from the base & attach the guard to the rim, then snap the soft seat back on. It fits our commode perfectly! I keep my 2 year old grandson all day while his Mommy works. He has mastered the pee part & stands like a 'big boy' to go. But even though he went poop at his house, he would always sneak off & go into the livingroom, get behind the big recliner, & poop in his 'big boy undies'. Dummy me, I couldn't figure out what the difference in my potty & his potty at his house was, until my daughter told me she has a "Cars" potty seat. Well DUH! So, since he is a fan of that cartoon & also "Paw Patrol", I bought him this. WOW!! ONE DAY!! That's all it took. Especially though when I told him, "You cannot use it to pee." "You can ONLY use it to poop." This Granny tried everything that I had tried while training my own 4 children. THIS WORKS!! In our city, the pre-school program, "Head Start", wouldn't accept him until he was totally potty trained. Hopefully he will be ready by next Fall.

My 3 y.o. loves it; yes, it can work for elongated toilets.
Very cute design, easy to clean as needed. My 3 y.o. loooooooves it. We had been trying to potty train her for months! I don't know how much this seat had to do with, but it definitely makes it easier for her to use the regular toilet. We hang it from a very light duty toilet tank hook we already had and the hook doesn't even strain, so you don't need to purchase anything heavy duty to hang it with--just get the cheapest one you can find.Ditto with other reviewers on putting the seat on the toilet "backwards" if you have the elongated style bowl. It works just fine this way, even with a little gap at the front, and is much more stable. Just teach your little one to do it that way right away.
