This is my second time ordering these guys for my plants. I’ve been using the original lights for at least 3 years now and they are still working great. They are super easy to install and my plants seem to love them. I also like the ambient type lighting they provide. I love the timer feature too when I get busy; I’ll just set it and let it take care of the rest. No need to worry about turing them on or opening up curtains.

So far working perfectly. Will have to wait on durability. I was worried about their brightness when I ordered, but these work great. Using them for aquarium lighting and will probably order more.

Just got these so cannot attest to how well they grow plants and may follow up later on that but they look so excellent on my shelves and give a warmer ambient glow that’s easy on the eyes as opposed to white LED grow lights. I recorded maybe 170 lumens on lowest (seen in photos) and 750-1070 lumens on highest setting which really isn’t much but it may suffice for low light plants.

nice lights and easy to set up. We have them on our fish tank and they light that up nice. not very bright tho, especially if you want to grow plants

It's been a year since I bought this, for the most part I am happy with it and so are my plants. Only problem it has had ever since it was new is the timer doesn't keep time. I set it to turn on at 10am, run for 8 hours turning off at 6pm. It turns on at 10 every morning but at the end of each day it turns off a little earlier until I have to manually reset it by turning it on again at 10am, setting it for 8 hours, then we start the whole thing over again. In about three weeks it is turning off about 30 minutes before it's suppose too.

The strips were a little smaller than I expected, but I guess I needed to learn how to use a ruler again LoL. I have the three strips above an aquarium full of water hyacinths and water lettuce. The plants are definitely growing towards the light, and are a healthy shade of green. I use the 12 hour timer a lot, but I wish they had an 18 hour option. So far, no bulb burnouts or problems with the timer. You can always just turn them on and off easily. The lights come with a wide variety of hanging options, and since they're so light in weight, shouldn't be a problem securing them where they're needed. The total area you can cover isn't bad, but don't expect to set up a marijuana grow farm operation. All in all, I'm very satisfied with my purchase, and would recommend these lights for installation under shelves or above an aquarium, but check the specs for the actual size. Small plants and installations are probably the best use.

This product is technically a grow light. Though I would not recommend purchasing this item. One strip will not light at all. The timer function does not function in any capacity other than a blue power drain that makes it easier to locate the switch in a dark house in the morning. The lights are easy to attach to any surface. Which is great. The strip that do light up put out the amount of lux or lumens advertised. The casings of the lights do reach an uncomfortable temperature after 4 hours of continuous use. Roughly 120 F to 128. I have always been of the mind that any device should be unplugged if I am not home or awake. At these temperatures after only 4 hours they poses a safety risk. Do not use longer than 4 hours at a time. DON'T PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT IF YOU DO NOT INTEND TO MONITOR IT. DO NOT LEAVE IT UNATTENDED. *******Adding to my review this companies customer service appeared great. I was told a replacement on it's way. AS SOON AS THE RETURN WINDOW CLOSED. They go dark never received a replacement and got absolutely no response back.

Lights with integrated controllers never work with smart switches. Many grow lights like this one have pluggable controllers, that are usually optional. By not plugging in the controller, you can get lights that can be controlled by smart switches (on/off only). I have a lot of grow lights I use in this way with Alexa. But THESE grow lights have different plug sizes for the lights vs the plug. The controller is required as a plug size adapter. So even though the controller isn’t integrated, it is required, making this product unusable with smart devices. Unfortunate design choice that limits uses. Lights are probably fine if you want to use them as designed.
