Careful Gardener Garden Hose Nozzle Water Wand – 8 Pattern Aluminium Watering Wand Nozzle - Green

We have 4 gardens surrounding our house which calls for a lot of watering and it seems like just when I get all of my hoses and nozzles just how I like them, something breaks. I chose this particular nozzle because of the telescoping wand and because it also came with a shutoff valve. You just don't know how long I've been searching for one of those. All in all, I like the nozzle, but there are a couple of things that I don't care for.PROS:> Telescoping wand generates good solid stream of water, reaching quite a far distance> Wand also makes watering plants around the garden simple and easy> Shut-off valve highly useful when hose is used for multiple attachments/nozzles> Nozzle has wide variety of water settings> I feel like I get a more powerful stream of water when using this nozzle vs another one of similar manufacturerCONS:> If you are using a kink-free hose, it can be difficult to get the nozzle positioned comfortably in your hand. It ends up flipped upside down so it feels uncoordinated to turn it on. You have to push the lever forward for water to begin spraying, and remember what I said about this nozzle generating more water pressure? When it is flipped all cattywampus, trying to engage the lever upside down sometimes leads to you turning the water on too much and you end up blasting your poor baby plants to kingdom come. Luckily, my plants are little fighters and they forgave me for this brutality.That is really the only bad thing I have to report. But if I was presented with two nozzles, both having similar attributes as stated above and the only difference is the trigger, I would opt for the nozzle with the standard trigger and not the fancy one.

I would like to retract my earlier review from last year. This nozzle worked great Last year. But, I suspect the Christmas light gremlins attacked it in winter storage in my house. This year......leaks. So, I replaced all washers with genuine rubber washers. Still leaking but in a different place. So, I disassembled it and found the size O ring it takes and replaced those, too. Leaking everywhere, now. So, in desparately, I filled over the screw holes with silicone and let it settle over two days. This crazy thing went wild springing leaks everywhere, again. Quote...I trashed it and went to Lowes to buy an Orbit spray nozzle that comes with a year's warranty. Good luck finding yourself a good, spray nozzle that doesn't become useless over the winter.

I love the toggle lever for flow adjustment. I no longer get hand fatigue pressing the typical handle or spray myself trying to undo the handle locking mechanism. The dial for switching water spray patterns sticks on mine so I deducted a star. Handle grip is very comfortable. It feels well balanced in my hand. Length gives me just enough of extra reach for hanging baskets without being too long and dangling in my hose holder. Color is bright and cheerful and easy to see if using in dim lighting.

The most appealing thing about this wand is the easy to adjust full bore valve built into the handle. When wand is set to full mode that valve delivers most of the volume a hose is capable of providing. In jet mode the wand provides a very powerful tight stream. I'm a little rough on things. I have broken many hose attachments over the years. This item seems like it will stand up to my abuse better than others.I'm a bit puzzled why or who benefits from the included plastic valve. The built-in handle valve works fine. Maybe save customers a couple of bucks and drop the extra valve.

Wow, Am I impressed by the CHOICES this device offers when watering my shrubs and flowers! It's amazing and a definite positive addition to my gardening tools. I am a bit concerned about it's sturdiness and thus about how long it will last. However, in over a month of daily use it's just fine and I couldn't be happier! I would re-order should something happen to it because it's that versatile a watering nozzle.

This may be the best water wand in the world! I have arthritis in my hands and find this so comfortable to use and easy to change from one setting to another. I love that you can adjust the water pressure with the lever as you are watering. It's great for going from water a larger area to my smaller pots with the easy to use lever on the top. You can also turn the water off temporarily with this lever if you need to. I bought 2 at the same time and am so glad because they aren't available now!!

I purchased this item for my 80 year old mother, and she absolutely loves it. It is easy to use as well as versatile with eight nozzle settings. It really extends the reach of your hose nicely and is fairly easy to adjust. It saturates the lawn, flowers, and bushes without killing Mom's arms. I am purchasing a second one for myself to use for washing my cars. Love this product!
