I’ve been interested in Vaultek for a while now. But I had a “average” safe with a electric buttons for the combination. But I really wanted to get a nice portable one. Vaultek knocked it out of the park. Besides being incredibly well built and super functional, it’s an absolute work of art visually. It’s gorgeous.For functionality, they thought of everything and executed flawlessly. Biometric finger print entry. Key pad entry. Key entry just in case. But you can lock out the key entry. You can store up to 20 finger prints (includes the 2 admin finger prints). The usability is excellent. So easy to program and use. Inside has multiple configuration options based on your needs including a removable tray and extra foam. Steel cable to secure it. And built tough.If I could design the absolute perfect safe (I’m using them for my guns), I’d not even have come close to how perfect this one is.I can’t recommend it more. Just get it. You will be thrilled and be able to rest assured your gun(s) (or valuable) are safe.I’ll be getting the multi gun Vaultek MX soon. Well done Vaultek, you’ve gained a customer for life.

This gun safe is serving its purpose well. Is fairly easy to set up and looks great. Enough to hold about 2 conceal carrys or one gun and 1-2 mags. Very content.

This works great. It’s a little bigger then I thought but it’s pretty sturdy. You would not think this is a polymer. Very simple to use and change the combo to what u want the storage and light are a nice added feature and it is airtight that I really like . It’s not a real safe but it works great at keeping your weapon handy but out of reach of kids or other unwanted touchers.

I bought the non biometric Lifepod a couple weeks ago for my SUV and wanted one for my bedside and chose the biometric model. These are secure and easy to set up. Most importantly though is that the firearms are away from curious adults and children yet quickly accessible. My Springfield Hellcat fits nicely in the top tray with some pluck foam. The safety on my S&W M&P Shield 2.0 won’t allow the gun to sit in the top tray and when placed in the bottom won’t allow the tray to be used because, again, the safety. A small consideration that Vaultec overlooked. However without the tray it works great and my gun is secure. Great product! Get quality 9V batteries; they aren’t included.

I like it so far but I haven't gotten a 9v battery yet and I haven't changed the default combination or added any fingerprints.I have to wonder though, for $200 why these days does it not come with a built-in li-ion battery and USB-C? Everything these days has a built-in, rechargeable li-ion battery. 9v is so 90's. The only other thing I've used in the last 17 years that uses a 9v battery are my smoke alarms and my infrared thermometer.I kind of regret buying the bio-metric version too because having the pressure clips on the sides kind of defeats the purpose of having the fingerprint reader since that is used mainly for quick, one-handed access to the contents. With the pressure clips on the side, you can't get either of those. So, I feel I spend an extra $50 on a useless feature but it's always there if I ever want to use it I guess.I also don't understand why the case is not deeper so you can have a pistol inside it and still use the tray, thus making that yet another useless feature.A third mounting point would also be handy so if you have to use the steel cable, you can still have the handle installed because what are you going to do with the handle if you need to use the cable?Why have the reset button near the front of the case? Why not put it in the rear so it's basically hidden?The light is almost useless too. I think it should have been mounted on the cover, shining down into the case. The light as where it is now, creates too much shadow for it to be useful and with a li-ion battery, you wouldn't have to worry that your 90's technology 9v battery will die a quick death.Even though this case looks well-made, there is a lot of room for improvement in its design.I'll post an update on this after I get to use it for a while but these are just my immediate observations.

It’s fantastic. It makes for a great nightstand safe for two full size pistols. Thr LED light inside is helpful when it’s dark, along with the light up keys.It also is great to carry to the gun range or store valuables while on vacation.I highly recommend this!
