This is an incredible book! The photographs are beautiful, and each chapter is well thought out and full of information. It isn’t going into major detail on each subject, but it does give a good baseline knowledge of horse breeds, health, how to care for and diet of horses. I bought this book 1st, and then I went next and bought more in-depth books on each chapter that this book hit on.

Book is a joy to read. Very detailed information on riding, equipment and skills. Excellent description of breeds, with pictures, and their history. Definitely recommend to anyone with an interest in horses.

A friend of mine was getting into the horse racing business and I purchased this book for him. I think the subject matter was a little advanced but he said it taught him alot about horses with topics on everything from type to riding.

A great book for a general things on the horse for your library. The author was a well known editor in horse illustrated and her other books, her co author also wrote several articles and bookspleased again with this purchase
