Pistil Men's Holden Cap, Olive, One Size

I had high expectations for this hat because I have another hat from this company, the Pistil Designs Men's Otto Beanie, that has been my favorite cap for over a year. The Holden is made from soft 100% Merino wool on the outside with a sewn-in microfleece lining. If you look closely at the photo of the Navy hat, you can see a line a little more than halfway up the cap where the top of the lining is stitched to the wool. I think the wool is of good quality - it doesn't scratch or itch - and the fleece lining is comfortable on my ears. The hat fits tightly, which I like. The style is as pictured. I like it because it's uncommon look. The only thing I don't like about the hat is that you can see the stitching line where the fleece is sewn in (as noted above) - but that's not a major drawback, and won't keep a nicely made, warm hat from 5 star status. I also HIGHLY recommend the Pistil Designs Men's Otto Beanie. This hat is made of a densely knit Italian boiled wool and is exceptionally warm.

I'm SUPER picky about beanies and how they feel (most give me a headache, or don't cover my ears, or are *too* long, etc). This is my all time favorite beanie.After losing it (originally an REI purchase), without thinking twice I just Googled the brand and re-purchased the same exact one here. Love this hat.

Warm hat and very soft material, but waaaaaay too small. Better fit for a child's head.

This is the second one of these I bought because I thought I lost my first one. I found my old one and now I have a second. I'm totally okay with that.
