Taylor Made Products, Replacement Marine Windshield Support Bars

I like that is is sturdy and I was able to reuse the old screw holes. It was used to replace one broken windshield support. I replaced both of them the originals were black. Would have been nice it available in anodized black satin finish or glossy

Since I was needing a custom size, I just cut it to the measure and inserted the plastic end piece back and it worked perfectly.

I have Taylor made windshield on my boat. guess they just have a cheaper manufacturer now. my old set is way thicker and sturdier. it will work though. also package was opened and screws fell out delivery envelope.

Just in time for the winter. Used these to replace my factory originals that broke ages ago. Fit just right. We get a lot of snow in the winter so these supports really help the windows not break/collapse on my bowrider.

In addition to Scott Hardings post, once you get the proper length it is your mounting brackets vs the new mounting brackets. In my case I had to return the 12" brace that I thought was the right size, for the 11" brace because of the mounts. I needed to go 1" shorter and everything fit perfectly.

Product is fine. The information regarding how to select the proper length, to match an existing support, is nonexistent. The “help” from reviewers is all over the map. The most useful seemed to be “measure from center of ball joint, to center of ball joint”. Well, like EVERYONE else, mine came too short. It’s like an epidemic. So, for those that may want to know how to measure your existing support so you can order the correct length, here is how. Flip the mounting bases so they are 90 degrees from the shaft. Measure from bottom of base to bottom of base (photo attached). Unless the packaging length is printed incorrectly, this is what I did to understand why mine was short. For reference, the package I received stated 13”. By the way, thank you to all of the people that ordered the wrong length and never bothered to offer helpful information for others. Cheers.

Excellent replacement for the 2003 Bayliner. I had to replace one of them and looking at replacing the other once it fails. Make sure to have the right measurements before you order them. I had to move my a little to make it work. I recommend to research all the products available to find the right one for your application.
