There is so much variation with hat sizing. With a head circumference of 56.5cm most I try are either too loose or too tight so the fact that this Panama has an adjustable chord fitted into the inner rim is an appealing feature. Nevertheless before committing to purchase I posted a question asking if declared sizes were accurate. A mix of responses such that I decided to order both a small (55cm) and a medium (57cm). Surprisingly the small hat fitted perfectly without any adjustment whatsoever. A nice looking, sensibly priced, stylish hat and clearly made from a material flexible enough to tolerate the rigours of overseas holidays. Looking forward to putting it to the test in a few weeks.(Positive) Update Sept 2024: Had the hat for well over a year now and the Panama continues to delight. What a great reasonably priced purchase it has been. With frequent use on beachy overseas holidays I got a few marks, including sweat marks, on the hat. Initially I was very cautious with how I cleaned away the marks but on a recent longer holiday I carefully washed the whole hat in a bowl of warm soapy water, first fully submerged the rim and gently massaged, then turned it upside down and washed the crown. Quick rinse in clean water and left it to dry. Completely clean and looking like brand new again. Brilliant! Particularly pleased that the hat band didn't leak either and did as a previous £100 ‘real;’ Panama hat had done.

This is my second one unfortunately left my original hat on aircraft….. sadly could not get it returned (easy jet) no very helpful no doubt an air Steward wearing it happily (don’t blame them it’s a lovely hat) great quality

Very pleased with this hat, great quality for the price. Bought it to fold but ended up wearing travelling so not sure on foldability yet but otherwise I’m very impressed

Nice hat but its not unisex. Unless your male and fancy a bow on the side of the hat ( along with a feather thats included separately).
