The colors and pictures in this book make it a wonderful source for ideas. Although depending on what your house looks like now, you may need to do some major renovations or have enough cash to make the changes - these ideas are not like Better Homes and Gardens, which has more of a country or do-it-yourself type of style. But it is a beautiful book and does give step-to-step instructions on how to start planning/redesigning your space.

I ordered a number of books like these from various publishers for pictures of room layouts and wall and ceiling creations, especially ones with wainscoting and chair molding and unusual uses of planking or beadboard for walls and ceilings with beams

This book has some great pictures and ideas if you're looks for a whole decorating theme and like the contemporary design. I wanted more of a staging book. I sent this back.

I just got a new condo and I was looking for new ideas. This is a great book, but I guess is too classic for me. Didn't match my style. Maybe you gonna like more than me, but I didn't found what I was looking for.
