The Logitech G604 is a pretty decent gaming and productivity mouse with some strange build choices. The AA battery along with the crazy-heavy mouse wheel make the mouse weighty, but the plastic body feels cheap and creaks. Swapping out the mouse wheel, while incredibly difficult, at least helps to reduce its weight. None of the functionality is lost with the swap so I can recommend this wheel for those looking cut some weight.

I bought this for my Logitech G500 mouse. The original metal wheel had accumulated a lot of corrosion and no longer moved freely. I already replaced it once before with a new metal wheel identical to the original but within about a year the same issue with corrosion occurred again, so this time I wanted to replace it with a plastic wheel instead. This replacement works perfectly in my G500 and should presumably be immune to the corrosion issue.

Watched a video on how to swap out my mouse wheel since the rubber started falling apart. It' just a lot of screws but dismantling wasn't too bad. The wheel itself though fit fine, but in the end it's not a "perfect" replacement since the metal part that drags along the inner wheel seems to be abit too long, ending up with the "free wheel" not being as free. I rarely used that feature anyways though.

I noticed when I was installing it that it had fewer spokes than my OEM wheel, but I thought maybe it wouldn't matter. Turns out it does. So if you were only web browsing and keeping the wheel in the freewheel mode, it wouldn't matter so much. What I've noticed is it takes two clicks to move the page down once. If you're someone who uses the scroll to change weapons in a video game, that is quite annoying. The wheel also doesn't feel as crisp when you scroll. But it is a lot lighter. That being said, it doesn't have the weight to freewheel for very long.

I needed a new scroll wheel for my mouse because the old one was getting unreliable. It was painful to extract the old one, but this one fit just like the old part. Switches between both scroll modes flawlessly. For anyone who's planning on doing something similar I strongly suggest getting the whole scroll wheel assembly rather than just a wheel. To remove the old wheel I had to snip the axel to remove it. I could not get it to release otherwise. The assembly on the other hand comes out very easily.

Perfect replacement wheel. Swapped out the all metal one on my G604 that was way too smooth and hard to grip. I don't notice the lower weight, but the rubber on the outside is just grippy enough.

Replace a defective wheel that was out of balance on an old model M705. Since the new M705 do not have the same features as the old M705, I paid for this. Price was high but I use free-wheeling mode and the lower thumb switch that is missing from the new M705, so I was stuck.

I used this to replace the g502 hero wheel. It's so much more tactile and better, definitely an upgrade worth doing.
