Rothco Mechanic's Tool Bag - Heavy-Duty Organization for Gear and Equipment

I got this for hauling drafting supplies to, from, and around my university. It fit everything perfectly. The zipper is excellent quality, the fabric isn't abrasive, its actually kind of soft, but thick enough that I don't have to worry about and any of my sharps poking a hole through it. The handles are extremely comfortable to carry, obviously durable, and my tools have added at least 3 pounds. There are also little loops for the addition of a long strap. The exterior pockets on each side are not big enough even for a cell phone, as they don't really expand, and they don't close securely, but I don't need them so it isn't a problem. Also, the bottom has a panel to maintain rigidity. This was the perfect solution for me, as the bag is perfect for transport and small enoug I can set it on my drafting table to select my tools and keep it beside me.

This is a great kit bag for my day trip salt water fishing. Accommodates the lures, extra line, leads and hooks, weights and an extra reel without being bulky. Extra heavy weight material and a bullet proof zipper makes it perfect for my application. I used some silicone zipper lube on the zipper to allow a smoother operation and to prevent water intrusion, but that just my preference. Buying another few for tools and “stuff”

Comments: This bag is excellent! It is simple and tough (made from canvas) and has a lot of storage for a small bag. Its just about the size of a shoe box, has nice flexibility but a rigid bottom to maintain its shape. It folds down to be small if you need it to. It has 4 pockets sewn into each side of the inside about the size to hold a screwdriver or socket wrench. On the outside there are 3 pockets on each side covered by a flap. One large one in the center and two smaller pockets where you see the snaps in the photo. All in all, a lot of storage for this small bag! A major plus to this material is that it does NOT fold over and fall into itself cutting off use of the pockets. They are open and accessible when you have your hands full and need to get in them. There's a reason why the military has been using canvas bags for decades, they work and they last. I bought this bag because I needed somewhere to store my Craftsman 12v impact gun, 12v drill/driver, the hex bit set, and the small battery that goes with it. All of these components fit and there's room for another bit set when I add to my collection.

Smaller than expected but nice quality otherwise. One important point is the pockets on the side are essentially worthless unless you are putting a pencil or screwdriver type item in them.

Over the years, I've accumulated a number of sharpening stones. Wanted something to keep them all in one place and all protected. This bag is perfect! The Japanese waterstones are housed in their cardboard boxes with bubble-plastic wraps. This keeps them separate (no grit contamination). The diamond stones fit. The strops fit. Everything is in one place and bag is clearly strong enough to not tear. The zipper is heavy duty. The cost is totally reasonable. And the fact the bag doesn't have some fancy branding makes it a lot more stealth, in that random people spotting this won't see a big "steal me" sign, which is what a brand name on the side of a tool bag says (at least in my neighborhood. Woot Rothco! I wish these were made in USA (mine was made in India), but the materials and stitching quality are excellent.

Bought this bag to put gun cleaning supplies all together. I like that it's made of cotton and not a synthetic material. Still seems durable due to thickness of material. Zipper is plastic and opens and closes very smoothly. There are 2 small loops at each end of the zipper which can probably double as an attachment for sling. The outer 2 pockets has 3 compartments, 1 large and 2 small. The inner pockets are quite small but fits my little bottles perfectly. Overall very happy with purchase.

Definitely 5 stars. This bag is awesome, and the fabric is really durable. I'll definitely be buying another, but my original purchase was to keep in my truck for all of my dog's things. It's her little bug out bag for when we go to the park, or rides around town, and she also gives it 5 stars. I'd highly recommend the bag, and it's great to store more than just dog toys. Also, everything inside the photo is what I keep stored in the bag, and there is a bit of room to spare.

私は通勤用のカバンに使用するために購入しました。iPadminiと財布・小銭入れ・たばこと小物しか入れないので丁度良いサイズです。可愛いサイズです。 当たり外れがあったり不満を漏らしている方がいらっしゃるようですが私は大変満足です。値段を考えれば非常に良い商品です。不具合があれば返品したり自分で手直しすれば良いだけです。過大な期待をする人は高額な高級ブランド品を選んだ方が良いと思いますね。 底の部分は板が入っていて(取り外しは不可)段ボールのような柔らかい素材ではなく丈夫なやつです。 サイズ感も丁度良くて全体的に丈夫そうなので車載工具入れ用にもう1点購入しようかと思ってます。 これより少し大きいものもあるみたいなので大きめが良い方はそちらを選んでも良いかもしれません。

I always hate the reviews that go on about how small something is when the measurements are clearly there. That said, I was a little surprised at the size despite having checked the measurements. It's quite small, but it's also really well made. The canvas is sturdy and the stitching and zippers are solid. I can see this thing standing up to some serious abuse. The internal loops and side pockets are a nice feature, and I have full confidence the snaps that close the side pockets won't come open by accident. I'm currently using it to tote around my rotary tool, which easily fits along with all the accessories. You could probably find something the same size (or larger) for cheaper, but I almost guarantee it won't be as well made. For a small emergency kit or tool bag, it's awesome.

Maybe a bit over priced but you get what you pay for. I like Rothco equipment because it is very good quality but can be extortionate if you buy from the wrong place. This bag is extremely robust. The rigid bottom is a nice touch. A bit small but perfect for what I want to use it for, it holds my Firebox, Gas Wood Burning Stove, wind shield, cook wear and also Tinder & fire starting kit. An ideal grab bag I keep in the boot of the car.
