Cooling Safety Vest with 24Pcs Ice Packs - Ice Cooling Vest for Men Women Cool Vest for Hot Weather Work

I spend about 4 to 6 hours once every week attending to my 1 acre jungle. Here is my setup when I go out. I live in Central Florida where the temps are in the high 90's and the humidity is just outrageous right now. I wear a full length, long sleeve navy jump suit, high top military boots, gloves, neck shade and hat. I also wear a neck fan. After wearing the vest a few times, I can tell you that it really works. Some of the ice bags do leak, but that's ok with me because it cools me down and makes the vest lighter as the hours go by. I switched to quart freezer bags instead so that I can refill them with ice as needed and they don't leak. The vest is heavy when full of ice, so take that into account. I wish the zipper was longer and came further up the chest more. The vest is quite large, (I am 5'9, 160 lbs), but when full of ice it kinda works out. In the past I would have to take an extended break every hour or so and it would take me all day to finish the yard. Now I just come in once to refill the ice bags and get drink of gatorade. At the end of the day I don't feel punished by the heat and my core temperate stays low through out the whole day. Bottom line, I like it.

The vest is very small. I 5’2” and 110lbs. After putting ice in pockets, it zips comfortably. No way a large man could wear it. If you plan on sitting on your zero turn mower, don’t! The ice is brutal on all body parts that they happen to be resting against. While weed eating, it did keep me cool in this brutal Tennessee heat but……be aware you’re carrying quite a bit of extra weight. I wanted to love it. Instead, I am returning it.

It seems to change 1 to 2 sizes after the ice gets added. And you have to use less water for me to make it actually fit. It was already a little small before the ice got added. It also doesn't last very long. It does feel amazing though.

I have only used this about 1/2 hour twice a day in the hot weather season. It works great for that long, and would probably last longer. I am thinking about putting heat packs in it for the winter and see how that works. Made better than another brand I bought. Zipper has held up nicely so far. Pockets not coming apart. One of the icepacks did leak but thats an easy fix. Update: The zipper lasted about 9 months. Virtually impossible to use without a zipper.

Even with only 4 ice packs, this vest weighs a great deal! It is a tradeoff because it does seem to keep me cooler than without the vest. There was an area where the trim was not sewn properly and I would have returned it but needed it for a job. When the ice packs melt they sweat which makes my short wet. Some of the packs were filled too full (my mistake). If I get more packs, I'll be more careful filling them so they are not a bulky and weigh a bit less.

We live in Arizona, where the summers are HOT! I bought these as a test for staff who are outside - playground aides etc. These made all the difference! Though it was still hot, the ice - especially in the back pockets really helped people feel cooler. The ice packs are a little tricky to fill and freeze at first so follow the directions. Also, use the bubble wrap pouches. A few bags leaked after time, but additional bags were provided. We ended up buying more for the staff. Thank you PTO!

The vest itself is fine, but every bag leaked out the top corner as soon as they were filled. The hole in the seam was almost as big as the water inlet. Update: I've decided to give this item five stars instead of three despite the defective bags because the seller took extreme interest in my item and offered to make ammends for the inconvenience even though I did not directly reach out to the company. The customer service is phenomenal.

Caution when purchasing. This vest is not adjustable. It did not fit. It does not come in different sizes. So if you’re a big guy that builds roads out in the heat, it won’t work. This was sad because the product seems well made, the gel packs worked as stated. The system seemed easy to use. We were ready to go out the door, and the Vest didn't fit. I am a short 5’ 2” slightly heavy but busty female, and I could barely get the vest zipped. Very disappointed.
