I wanted a dual purpose webcam and camcorder and found what I was looking for in the Rollin HDC. I often do presentations on the plants that I grow and wanted something that would serve as a webcam indoors and a camcorder out in the field. As a webcam the 1080p 15 fps setting produces a wonderful and clear picture. It also balances the light level in a room quite well for great overall picture. I am however even more impressed with it as a camcorder. First of all it is ridiculously easy to use. I can begin recording video in 7 seconds once opening the side viewing panel. You hit the same button to begin or stop recording. Anyone who likes to be able to pick up their camcorder at an instant to capture a fleeting moment will surely appreciate this. I have taken some great video so far with this thing and have to say I actually prefer the 720p 30 fps setting when shooting outdoors. The video is not only very clear but it is noticeably smooth, with none of the 'stuttering' that I have seen in a lot of camcorders where there is lots of motion. I also love being able to plug it into an HDMI television port and instantly see what I have recorded. It was very good for the price and I am quite happy with it. I definitely recommend this product and would be interested in buying any future products from this manufacturer.

I have had this camera for about a week or so now and have had the chance to check out a few things with it. The things I liked are thus, its a good little camera for just taking nice little videos. I noticed the price went down since I purchased it which means to me it is more in line cost wise to where I think it should be. It has nice definition for graphics when not zoomed way in, but when you do zoom in you lose detail and it becomes grainy. The battery lasts for a good while of filming, it is light weight, and formatting the disk is super simple.The things I am not thrilled about this little camera. Trying to set it up to work as a webcam is not easy. The instructions aren't the clearest. You have to open the side screen to charge the battery which automatically turns the camera on.Overall I like it. If you need a camera for taking out and about for parties, family get togethers, hikes, BBQs or just general fun and not worry too much what happens to it, this is a great little camera to use.

Fairly easy to use, picture is good quality for price, sound isn't great...cracks every so often...which for what I was using it for (recording family history stories) is annoying, but if it was being used for outdoor sports, scenery, etc, it wouldn't be that noticable.

I bought this camera and everything seemed to be fine with it until I hit record. When trying to record it suddenly glitches out and stops working, can’t even turn it off, I have to take the battery out. The troubleshooting page provided doesn’t even work. I reached out to amazon to talk to the company and they said that’s not possible due to it being from China. Very disappointed and also confused as to how this has so many good reviews? I see someone else that rated this camera 1 star has the same issue I had. I’m a photographer so I truly don’t think it’s anything I did wrong, I’ve tried charging the battery, tried using different sim cards, waited for hours to see if it just needed to cool down, and absolutely nothing worked.

I got this because I was looking for a convenient and small camera I can keep in my bag when I go out. I like to document the things that happen around me, and occasionally I have to take videos for job related things. I’m also a little outdoorsy, and I wanted something affordable that I wouldn’t feel guilty about taking on long trips or letting my friends handle.This camera fits the bill! It fits well in my hand and it feels natural to hold. I like the rotating display as it makes it easier to record things that are high up or low to the ground. The video it takes is great, and I’m excited to take this camera out to more scenic areas. The controls are easy to figure out even without reading the instructions. I appreciate the different cables it comes with. There’s even a 2 RCA cable, which will come in handy if I want to use this with older TVs like my parents’ or grandparents’. All in all, an easy to use camera that takes nice videos! I can’t wait to get to use it more!

The camera was more sturdy and heavier than I thought it would be although it is the same size as other camcorders I have. It's not necessarily light weight which isn't a bad thing in this case.The resolution is lower and the zoom is not as sharp as others. On the flip side, the sounds recorded are rather clear. I unknowingly had my hand over the speaker/mic and it still picked up sounds. I did appreciate that the video settings could be fine tined, that is not always available in a camcorder.Going from photo to video mode and back again is simple. Navigation through the settings and menu is rather intuitive. If you've used any type of camera, this one will be easy to use as well.The battery holds a charge well and you could likely film for about two hours before losing a bar on the battery life. Just note, that the SD card limit is 32 GB for this camera.All I all, it's a good camcorder for catching quick and generic shots on the go. It'll be great for B-roll and fun/light family activities.

Great video camera quality but the sound quality is horrible. The only thing it’s lacking is the quality of the video sound. It sounds muffled and very poor. Overall not satisfied
