Large German Shepherd? Not a good fit.
While this is a neat design, it isn't the best fit for a large dog. It was wobbly for me and the stairs are super slick so be prepared to put peel and stick carpeting squares or something.

High hopes dashed
Dislike: steps were hard to expand, they would act like they would hang up but there was nothing to hang up on. The 5th use they collapsed, the safety tether snapped off & my poor dog fell and the impact snapped her foreleg.Like: solid steps, not a fabric step with lots of give. Foam covers on the ends that rest on the car. Safety tether to keep the steps from sliding away from the vehicle. Compact. Handle straps to easily carry it.I’m really disappointed because I looked and looked for just the right set of steps.

Seems fine but our dog REFUSES to use them
We bought these to help our Chesapeake Bay Retriever in and out of the back of our SUVs. He refuses to use them. Even using treats to lure him and work with him we have only managed to get him to use them one time. The steps seem sturdy but are too narrow (both width and depth) and too slick for him to want to use. I do like the D-ring to attach them and the arms to help steady them. I'm going to try to modify them and put some sort of rubberized padding on the top surface for grip. Otherwise, they will probably go in the trash.

Wonderful and easy to use!
This worked great for loading our 80 lb golden retriever into the backseat of of our half-seat extended cab truck. Door opening was narrow on back door but these stairs fit in well. Clip held them to truck frame and stairs extended as far as necessary. First time use required a treat for motivation but after that our dog eagerly entered truck using these stairs over a dozen times on ground, grass and curbs. These are so easy to lift, store and use compared to ramps we’ve used previously.

Great help for my 2 large dogs
I have 2 standard poodles, father and daughter. Daughter weighs about 80 lbs, she understood right away and goes up and down the stairs like a champ (she's 10 and has hip issues). Dad, however (he's almost 12) has always had learning disabilities and still can't figure out the stairs. Luckily he weighs a whole lot less than his daughter and I can assist him up and down. All in all the stairs are great for the disabled one, and I am so glad to have the assistance!!

Not worth the money
Rated for 150lb, my 106lb Bull Mastiff (torn CCL and no longer able to jump up into our SUV) stepped on it the first time and it collapsed. Immediately returned it to Amazon. For the foreseeable future I will be lifting her in and out of the SUV.

Cheap and Shaky - Broke my finger
As other reviewers have mentioned, these are extremely flimsy and shouldn’t be used for dogs over 20 pounds, if at all. They’re quite steep and slippery and there’s no safety latch to prevent them from collapsing when the dog is on them. I always had to hold these still and put my foot at the edge so they wouldn’t collapse when my 80 pound German shepherd stepped on them. One day she stepped on them and my hand was in just the wrong position and I got my pinkie stuck between the wooden step and metal railing - snapped it right in half. I wouldn’t recommend these for anyone until they add a safety latch.

It is too short for Honda Pilot
I revived the item looks like has been used. It was covered by dust and sand. I have to clean it before I use it. Unfortunately it is too short for my car.
