Square Register - Powered by Square POS

Exactly what I ordered and works well.

I had an electronic stand alone cash register which was starting to die. It was time for a replacement. I already use Square for credit card processing so it was easy to consider the Square register. So far I am extremely pleased with this product. It is super easy to program in products. You can input data directly to the square register through the touch screen, and you can use square dashboard from any computer and input items and prices. The Square design team has put a lot of thought into the look, feel, and function of this product. Also, I purchased a cash drawer and receipt printer. Hooking these two items up to the Square Register was flawless and easy. (Now ask yourself: How many times have you tried hooking up new hardware and then spent HOURS on the phone with technical support to get all the pieces to work together?) Square has really hit one out of the ball park with this product.

So far so good. We’ve had these about a month and it has fixed most all of the issues that we were having using an iPad as register with the Square platform. We recently tried out the GoDaddy POS system that they offered us with a discounted rate compared to Square as well as one free terminal and the second terminal for half price. We abandoned it within a week. I love GoDaddy as a host, but their POS system has massive room for improvement. I would really love it if Square continue to develop their system that resulted in pushbutton tax filing at the end of the year for small business owners.This unit. one free terminal and the second terminal for half price. We have attached a zebra barcode scanner that is corded and has a base. Usually, when it is sitting in the base, the laser is on which allows our cashiers to pass barcodes into the laser stream and does not require a hand on the trigger. But, when we have to use the trigger, it reads multiple very quickly compared to the small Bluetooth barcode scanner we had attached to the iPad. That Bluetooth scanner didn’t make it home in a customers bag one day, but fortunately was returned later that evening.We have two registers that use one receipt printer. The receipt printer is plugged into the ethernet network, and the square registers are connected to the Wi-Fi of the same network. It works well enough, but as we have a second printer, we are planning to plug each one in directly. For ease of access for the customers. The customers now get an option of what type of receipt directly on the screen facing the customers which simplifies interactions between staff and customers.

I have been using the Square Register for a few weeks now and I am very impressed with its performance and features. It is a sleek and modern device that makes my checkout process faster and smoother. It has a large and clear touchscreen that is easy to use and navigate. It was very easy to set up and connect to my wifi network. It came with everything I needed to start using it right away. It accepts all kinds of payments, including credit cards, debit cards, gift cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.I highly recommend the Square Register to anyone who is looking for a professional and powerful POS system.

We love square and the POS is easy to navigate. But the screen came cracked.

We use this daily at my store, amazing customer service. Cheaper here on Amazon than their website for the same item!

Overall good but connectivity not that good.. little expensive but more comfortable for customers if you own a small business.
