The card is named POST(Power On Self Test)card too. It could display the error code by the result of POST. Then you would soon determine the error in error code table. Especially when the PC can't boot operating system,or bland screen. or the card and mother board couldn't issue an audible beep. It is a powerful diagnostic tool. Now just use it. You'll get twice the result with half the effort. By the trait of the card, you can determine the error easily like this. During the test of pivotal parts. If the error occurs. It will halt the work and nothing appears on the screen. If the pivotal part is OK, you can have a test of the parts that unimportant, this may not halt the work even if any error occurs. And the system reports an error message at the same time. Now when the computer goes wrong. Especially the fateful error. Bought this, put in the computer and it straightened out some weird diagnostics issues like clockwork. AWESOME device! We plan to buy some more for backups.Highly recommend!

Defective. Installed the analyzer with pc off and power cord disconnected. The item smoked and shut down pc at start up.

I received my 4-Digit ISA PCI Powerful Diagnostic Tool PC Computer Motherboard Analyzer Tester and it works fine on PCI and Isa slots on the motherboard ISA slots are of the old technologies you should not see one of these in today’s computers but you will see PCI slots in today computers except for the smaller PC which you could not use this device because they do not have those types of slots. So that said this device is only good on certain computers. To use this device power off your system and then find an empty slot and insert it and turn on your system you should see three LEDs under the four digit display if you see all LEDs light up then you should have proper voltage coming out of your power supply. Now check the display it should be giving you information on the post codes from your motherboard BIOS. To see what they mean there is a booklet with this unit that will give you the information on the codes. If there is more than one code you can cycle through them with the buttons on bottom the display. This should give you enough information on what is wrong with your system. This is a nice tool to have if you are a PC tech of a hobbyist interested in fixing PC’s. The devise is small and easy to put in with your diagnostic software that you have. This device does not come with any software because it does not need it. Back in the day year 2000 I had something similar to this it was called MicroScope 2000 which came with diagnostic software of course it cost a lot more I can’t use it anymore do to it is obsolete.
