The pour over Coffee brewing method brings out the true flavor of Coffee beans by using the optimal Coffee brewing temperature and the right amount of Coffee and water. Hot water is slowly passed through the grounds, extracting the richest flavors and aromas. Now you can make café quality coffee at home with the Mr. Coffee at home pour over system. This all in one brewing system takes the guesswork out of pour over Coffee with an on screen, step by step guide that walks you through the process. The integrated scale automatically calculates the right amount of Coffee and water. A temperature controlled gooseneck kettle heats water to the optimal Coffee brewing temperature. The cone style brewer allows water to flow evenly through grounds for the fullest flavor. Brews 2, 4, or 6 cups of Coffee.

Water doesn't get hot enough
I have been making pour over coffee for several years but I don't have a gooseneck pot. I liked the looks of this coffee system and thought it would be good. Number one: It does not heat the water to the correct temperature. Pour over coffee should be between 195 degrees and 205 degrees. This pot only heats to 180 degrees. Number two: I don't think the water to grounds ratio is correct. If I had not had gift certificates that paid for this system I would have sent it back. I have an electric water pot that has a temperature gage on it so I just use that to heat my water and then pour it into the gooseneck pot in this system. I have essentially bypassed the whole purpose of this coffee pot. I think this coffee system is way over priced. The deal breaker on this pot is that it does not heat the water to the right temperature. For the price this pot should have had a temperature gauge and the ability to heat the water to desired temperature. I think there are much more economical ways to make your pour over coffee. I personally don't recommend this coffee pot.

My favorite coffee maker!
Mr. Coffee BVMC-PO19B All-in-One Pour Over Coffee Maker – 6 Cups, is made by the American company, Sunbeam, and manufactured for them in China. Also known as the ‘At-Home Pour Over’, I am very satisfied with the design and functionality of this machine. I wish it came in a larger version; this is a small machine compared to other coffee brewers. Too small for more than two people. As with most coffee brewers, its design specifications for six cups are equal to three mugs. That being said, I like that it does not have a water reservoir or a water pump-dispenser, these are always problematic in my experience. This machine is inexpensive, nearly all plastic (yes, water does come in contact with the plastic but the process is harmless and there is no effect on the taste). The water kettle is stainless steel, not high grade but adequate, and the coffee carafe is borosilicate glass, common to glass coffee carafes. The carafe has a brushed metal strap at the base to brace the handle, looks nice, but prevents putting the carafe in the microwave to heat leftover coffee. I wish the carafe was safe for microwave. The entire setup measures 11.5 in. H x 17 in. L x 8.5 in. W. This is different than the measurement given on the website. The electronics for on-off, measuring scale, water kettle heating, and timer are in the base stand. There is no keep-warm plate. You cannot adjust the temperature, it is set to 200, I didn’t check it for accuracy, but the coffee is hot. You cannot attain a ‘boil’. Automatic shut-off. The machine does not come with a filter. I prefer paper to stainless, easier to dispose of grounds. You need number 2, pointed cone. I use Hario V6. Make sure to get pointed cone. Pour hot water through filter before adding grounds. Prewetting the filter also helps to slow the pour-over flow-rate to improve saturation, form the paper to the holder, remove any paper taste and warm the carafe. Discard the water from the carafe. The pour-over flow-rate to the carafe depends on the grind. I prefer strong coffee, like double espresso. I use a dark roast, fine grind. The scale to weigh the coffee grounds in proportion to the number of cups works flawlessly. Pour water slowly. The coffee is hot and the strength is perfect for my taste. I’ve tried all the big-name coffee makers, and every type, (siphon, drip, pour-over, espresso, pods, etc.), I didn’t like any of them, many problems with water reservoir pumps and heating elements. My latest experiment was the manual French Press, great coffee maker, but too much work, especially to clean. I recommend this machine; I will buy another if it breaks down. My favorite coffee maker so far.

Perfect pour over
I have come to love pour over from my local coffee shop but was totally intimidated by the process. This Mr Coffee unit makes it completely idiot proof. It stepped me through the process and out came perfect coffee. Plus it was super entertaining. Now I can have pour over at home whenever I want it.

Game Changer.
I don't know if I've ever really had pour over coffee. I live and work in a boojie area with boojie coffee joints and pour over is all the rage. Lines of hipsters paying $7-10+ to stand around for 30 minutes for a cup of stupid coffee? No thanks. I like nice coffee but I ain't paying that and I ain't standing around for it. The coffee joint in my office building got world-wide press for being the joint that serves a cup of pour-over that's $50. FIFTY DOLLARS. And staff gets coffee from there (nobody has gotten the $50 one, but they stand in line for regular). So when this machine was offered to me, I though, well, I work in a boojie office so maybe it would be cool to have for those here that are into pour-over.I un-boxed yesterday, brought in some coffee and filters this morning, and let everyone know I was going to try the machine out. There I was, 8:15 am, rolling my eyes at all the steps you have to take to make stupid coffee. Rolling my eyes at how slowwwwwwww the coffee was filtering down while I slowwwwwwwwly poured in water. The whole time I'm thinking, this is absurd, I'm never doing this again! But I literally had every person in my small office of 8 standing in the kitchen, all looking at me like I'm some alien magician teaching cavepeople how to create fire. Oohing and ahhing every step of the way, noses in the air, saliva on their lips, just... waiting.Let me just say, my mind exploded like it was shot with a confetti cannon after making the maiden cup in this thing. Holy smokes it's good. I also made a regular pot of coffee so I could measure the differences between regular and this, but turns out I wasted a pot of regular coffee because there is no comparison. This takes about 4 times the grounds to make a cup of coffee, and it takes about 15 minutes (give or take) of hand-on, so it's an indulgence for sure, but I have to admit I really like the end product.Reviewing the machine itself:I think it takes a lot of guesswork out of this boojie way to make coffee for sure, and this is a good pricepoint. The parts seem sturdy and well made, plus is has an added benefit of combining a coffee maker and electric kettle for people that also maybe want tea. On my second attempt I did miss pressing "next" after I weighed the coffee and just started pouring water in, and there is no way to go back or re-do, I had to scoop out wet grounds because the machine was registering that I had too many ground in, but I managed to move past that with a bit of a mess. So just make sure you press "next" with every step.Verdict: Love it, and will get to work a bit early now just to make a stupid cup of coffee. Call me converted.

Fantastic for both the seasoned coffee connoisseur or beginner coffee enthusiast
Impressed with how quickly this heats up, may even use for my tea. The screen is fool-proof and gives timed direction on when to do what. Appreciate the markings on the brew basket. Because of this, the filter definitely stays in place. End result is pretty tasty coffee. Do wish there was some sort of app integration so I could multi-task while doing this or even watch videos on how this product works.
