and now I love to play with this VR headset
Works perfectly with my iphone 5s! I was comparing 4 different VR headsets, chose this product after reading most reviews, and now I love to play with this VR headset. I tested with VR apps from the App Store and video clips from Youtube, it did a geat job with them. Easy to handle and adjust focal and pupillary distance. I saw one review saying it is pretty heavy to put on more than 20 mins or something but I don't think it's that heavy (I'm not muscular, just an average woman). Oh, and just make sure that a bluetooth remote controller comes together doesn't cooperate with iphones.

Great VR headset for the $$
Obviously this is no a high end Vr headset, but it really is comfortable and works well with my Nexus 6P and iPhone 6 Plus. I have tried a few apps and watched a few movies.I like it

Really wanted VR - this was not a good choice for the Motorola Droid Maxx
Really wanted VR - this was not a good choice for the Motorola Droid Maxx, or for anyone that doesn't already know the intricacies of VR technology. I couldn't get the remote controller to synch with my phone via bluetooth, but then again there were no instructions provided on how to do this so what can one expect? The instructions for the use of the device also were negligible/useless.The phone is supposed to fit into a spring-activated cradle in the headset, but the fit was poor and didn't center the phone. The eyepiece was an uncomfortable fit on the bridge of my nose; surprisingly, that was the only place on the headset that wasn't covered in foam.

Budget VR is in fact as mediocre as you'd expect.
Just purchased this VR headset and for what it is its certainly not bad. I have tried the htc vive and was wondering how this fared comparatively.Pros:Good construction. Feels solid. Can use it with or without glasses.Any VR app like cardboard will work with this.Cons:As other have stated, this headset will make it impossibly uncomfortable without you holding it. It basically clamps your nose down so you can't breathe. I suspect it does depend on your face. I tried adding some padding and that helped substantially. One of my lens adjusters is loose so it easily moves from side to side. The damned remote is just terrible. I got it to work once by changing the language on the keyboard in my android input settings. But it never worked again after that. It's stuck in some mode that doesn't have a mouse or access to all the UI elements. The function key just ups the volume. Infuriating.Other notes:The remote does in fact take AAA batteries not AA. Also when reading the "Android" on the side with the switch: to the right is IOS mode and to the left is Android mode. This really isn't about the device but probably 3D content in general. Many 3D videos look absolutely terrible. I figure its the way they were recorded but so many have this distortion around the edges when objects get close that I can't help but think it might be a function of making 3D videos. They also seem to make the images way too thin ruining the realism. I'd say that it is hard to find quality 3D video to watch. For $30 this wasn't really a mistake to buy, but it certainly wasn't the best thing ever. Due to the lack of comfort and the crappy remote I can't see using this very often. Compared to the $700 Vive I saved $670. But if you want the best experience ever, the Vive has this beat by miles.

At full price there are other options which are better...
I paid full price for this and as a result will provide a real review. The "manual" is worthless for both the viewer and the remote. Looking at other VR you figure out how to use the viewer. I have a S7 and had to remove it from the case to get it fit. This allows for some wiggle which impacts the playback. Other viewers were able to take the phone and case with no issue. I could not find the QR code to setup cardboard with the viewerThe viewer itself is nice that it has padding but did not sense it was any lighter than others. The adjustments took a bit to get to my liking, but that's personal based on one's vision. My vision is better than 20/20.Inside the remote it says it takes AA batteries, but there is no way they fit. Put in AAA as it seemed the right size. It worked and connected to the phone but that's about it. I wasn't able to use the remote for anything useful. There are other viewers that are less expensive that provide the same experience. The number of reviewers that were comped is telling.

This is a great VR headset
This is a great VR headset. Clear easy to adjust focus. Comfortable light weight. I have an iPhone 6 Plus that I keep in a life proof case. I was able to slide out the adjustable phone holes and insert my phone with no problem. This is going to be given as a gift to a 13 year old and I'm positive he will love it too.

Four Stars
Works well for what it is but remote is pretty useless and novelty wears off.

Bad fit for phones
This VR goggle doesn't seem like it's intended for people who have buttons on the side of their phone, in which case almost every phone, as the holders constantly pushed against the button. There seems to be no way around it and the controller isn't that responsive at all. You're better off with the google cardboard.FYII have a Galaxy s7
