Comfortable and secure
I was looking for another point of contact for my camera first ability, and was looking for exactly this - so I'm super glad that small rig were the ones to make it!Reliable, strong, comfortable and a good size (if it was larger it'll end up weighing more) - perfect!

Great product.
Another great product from smallrig. Bought this as a 3rd point of contact for my camera for handheld work. Comfortable and compact. Fits nicely with my C100mkii and adds loads of stability when needed.

Nice bit of kit, feels like the foam might fall off soon though
It's a nice product and great addition to a rig but for the price was hoping the the foam would feel more secure/sturdy. May change my mind if it lasts longer than expected but I can see it the foam part coming off within a year

Useful kit with major flaw
On the surface of it, it does what it says on the tin, and the quality of the materials and fixtures is good. First small niggle is that it could have done with more mounting points for additional rigging (only has a 1/4" hole on the bottom), but that's fine.Far bigger issue with this item is that the screws which control the pivot of the pad lose tension during use *extremely* quickly. If you rotate it back and forth more than a couple of times the friction that it has disappears and it starts flapping about, making it useless. It comes with a small allen key that can be used to retighten these screws, but this only fixes it for a few minutes.If you're not changing the angle of the pad much, it can hold for a little while longer, but sooner or later it will start to flap about and then it needs to be tightened again, with the tiny allen key. After only a few days, one of the hex tips of the allen key has sheared to be unusable, because it is unsuitable for the torque of these screws. Whole thing is a mess, basically.Really good twisty clamp for tightening the 15mm rods, works like a charm, why cheap out on a better angle adjusting mechanism, for angling the pad?
