When does that weird taste go away? Or does it?

So we haven’t had any weird taste issues since we purchased it (like over a year ago). However, today we noticed a really bad plastic taste coming from the water dispensed. I double checked directly from the jug I hooked up and the water tasted fine. So something in the machine is contaminating the water or something. I just ran the ozone cleaning option and hopefully that helps.

I can't get the drip tray to pop out! it feels like i'm going to break it if i pull any harder. is there a trick to it??

Hannah I am not sure. I just recently purchased mine - I know I snapped the drip tray in. After seeing your question I tried to get mine out and was unable. I also went on Avalon's website to see if they had any instructions but their website wasn't very helpful. I am going to call them. Please let me know if you find anything out.

Has anybody else had issues with the pump not pulling water strong enough?

We ordered one and pump does not work. Barely made it through the cleaning cycle but will not pull water to drink. Will be reordering another unit to see if random issue. Finders crossed!

how long does it take to fill a 16 oz. water bottle?

Approximately 10 - 12 seconds to dispense 16 ounces from the room temperature spout. Both the hot and cold spouts are 2 - 3 seconds slower.
